Hey since we're discussing court stuff now I can post my little story about how I got on the front page of the Chattanooga Times Free Press. Basically, the Hamilton County Commission is opening their meetings with a prayer specifically in Jesus's name and a friend of mine is suing them to replace it with a moment of silence. They've refused and have continued with the prayer despite repeated letters from the Freedom From Religion Foundation and also residents of Hamilton County. They're being represented by the Alliance Defense Fund (who just changed their name apparently) which is an extreme right wing group trying to keep prayer in schools and the Christian God in government. That's the backstory. I was reading to them this blog post by a local Christian activist which basically called them out on not being Christ-like. I got all the way to the end and they decided to cut me off. I was two sentences from finishing and I was pissed at them cutting me off even though I had plenty of time, so I continued on and this happened: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtUNgvvfkTY If you notice, the woman at the very beginning shuts off the mic but I turn it right back on. I've been keeping up with the suit but haven't gotten myself escorted out again. It was pretty surprising.

This man, whilst he was spouting utter poo poo, had very slightly pushed someone who was obviously larger, paid to be security, and accompanied by another large security guard, and then was shot with barbs that hook into the skin, and shocked with a high voltage that has killed people. Without going into the politics of what he believes versus what is going to happen: - Was that reasonable? No. It's was completely over-the-top violence and should not be how a modern society acts. In other news, Mitt Romney tells rich people that 47% of the USA depends on the government, expects food, clothing and housing and that he's not worried about their vote.
