Tigs daughter had a pretty sweet collection of VHS tapes.

It was a weird thing to see on the shelves now a days. Watching on SD, but I think it was accompanied by some books and DVDs. Weird set dressing.

Yes, surely they will lock Opie up with the rest of them because he punched the sheriff. Well, it makes as much sense as the rest I guess.

Episode quality is directly correlated with the screen time of Goon Prospect.

Because it wasn't necessarily clear to my wife and because I had to rewind to be sure:

That was Chuck Zito with the safe documents at the end. He's one of the Nomads that was voted in on the first episode.

I agree. Ways to improve this episode:

Goon Prospect is the one to punch the sheriff at the end so he can stay close to the club intstead of Opie.

Tig and Jax bust in on Tig's daughter with a bewildered Goon Prospect. To keep that fake danger elmement, GP was wearing black face.

Jimmy Smits stops on his errand to play catch with his son. Goon Prospect is there doing volunteer work, or he is the son, either one.

This is the main thing. I wonder what bullshit reasoning will be behind them getting out of jail this time?

I'm also calling it that at some point in this season Clay is going to have to make a choice involving the Cartel/CIA's "Plan B" where he can either pull the ultimate betrayal and let the Sons be killed or do something redeeming and save the Sons and Jax.

EDIT - The end of this series needs to involve all these "bad guy of the week" gangs and one mega shootout. Kind of like the Godzilla/Kaiju films had "Destroy All Monsters".

Watching you sleep.

Butt first, let's
check the feeds.

I feel like I've watched this exact episode of SoA a dozen times at least. Sons spend the episode dodging cops and gangsters who don't seem to be looking very hard for them. Sons move chess pieces around that don't make a lot of sense to try and fix their problem. Sons have a sad goodbye with their loved ones to a music montage as they go off to jail or their fated confrontation with the bad guys (or both). Sutter is sure getting a lot out of this one script.

Jimmy Smits and Harold Perrineau are basically carrying this season for me, which isn't good because they're not getting a lot of screen time. At least Opie is still the only stand up guy even if his plan didn't make much sense.

And I completely missed the point of the Dark Sons' 5 seconds of screen time. Was it just confirming that they were behind the invasions? Was there something to those documents that I missed in the episode I don't want to rewatch? Can I keep assuming Clay sent them there to gently caress up Gemma and collect some important paperwork for when he makes his move?

Wow, just caught the last episode.

What a load of bullshit. The entire show/Sutter is suffering from a terminal case of the "wouldn't it be cool if..."'s I'm seriously waiting for Jax to go into an old '50s diner and ask Dexter Jettster if he knows where the bullet that killed Piney is from. I've seen better written commercials than this.

How the hell do they get relatively decent actors for this steaming pile of poo poo? Sure, Jimmy Smits has been on the outside of the back burner for a while now, but really?

I feel like I'm watching my high school girlfriend working at Hooters. Sure, I still have a thing for her but drat, she's pushing 40 and this is sad as gently caress.

SoA is basically the A-Team with a biker gang. It's a mindless 80s action show unfortunately written in the golden age of serialized tv drama. Kurt Sutter would've been a legend working for Stephen J Cannell.

How dare you say that about the A-Team! :argh: They'd have all this wrapped up in one episode with Jax mistakenly marrying Murdock.

"Don't you dare bro-walk down the aisle on MY day!"

But yeah, I'm losing track of just what's going on and motives. I'd understand Nero more if he had history with Gemma or something, but he just swooped in like some sort of Super Pimp Jesus. "Birds of a feather" and all that, but in less than two episodes in an within a week (hell, half a week) of picking her up in a bar, he's putting every. single. thing on the line for Gemma and the Sons.

No one does this.

No one does this!

Jimmy's knocking it out of the park and I like the Nero character, but in context this makes no goddamned sense.

Here's a little something: one of these characters is trying to intimidate the other. Guess which is doing the intimidating:

It's gonna turn out Nero's involved in some other deep poo poo and he needs the Sons' help or otherwise he'll serve as some other sort of plot device to either get Scoob and the gang out of or put them further into danger. Probably both.

The thing I find hardest to believe about Nero is given the level of control the Sons supposedly have over how business is done in Charming, their line into the police dept. when Unser was sheriff, plus their recent foray into porn, and for that matter Tig's existence, that there'd be a high-dollar whorehouse operating in town for several years without any of them knowing about it. I mean, that's just silly.

Dentyne Fire + Dentyne Ice = End of World?
Well, I just had a thought.. Seems like they are really ramming Jax & Tara = Gemma & John. Anyone else think that it may wind up with Opie and Tara killing Jax? While that would be awesome, we'd then get Sons: The next generation with Jax's kids trying to get to the truth of who killed their father. I think everyone could agree that would be a bad idea.
