Has anyone posted Madame X? She was a new Orleans reisident whos real name was Virginie Amélie Avegno Gautreau. The painting is called "The Portrait of Madame X" by John Singer Sargent . Gonna revive this thread because I just found this, and didn't see my two favorites. Young Marlon Brando. Standing next to Marilyn Monroe during filming of "Desiree". He is playing Napoleon Bonaparte (a looker in his own right).  And from the same movie, Jean Simmons. My grandma called her "poor man's Audrey Hepburn" but I think she was amazing in her own right. She also had a lovely voice. She narrated some of the "Mysteries of the Bible" stuff on tv.  Théodolinde de Beauharnais. Granddaughter of Napoleon's Josephine. I just love the hair.

I know right? While not as dreamy as Yeltsin, Gorbachev was acceptable too:  I sadly couldn't find a larger picture of him with hair. Wonder if he even knew about that pattern on his head before it started falling out. It seems that not drinking has prevented Putin from being hit by the curse of Russian leaders aging badly. Or maybe it's that he started out ugly, but grew into his body as he got older.
