That might be more meaningful if not for the fact that all the time is Vriska time. It really seems like Vriska doesn't have feelings for Tavros in any of the quadrants. She definitely doesn't love him, she doesn't seem to have him since she killed him, there's no spade-thing, and they aren't really friends.

Yeah, she was just trying to be her ruthless, awesome ancestor as her way of coping with the stress of murdering thousands of children to feed her ravenous spidermom. Part of that was flirting with Eridan and Tavros, descendants of the Orphaner and the Summoner. She was never interested in Tavros or anything he did, just in what she thought he could be turned into--a dashing, ambitious hero who could fly and lead huge armies of beasts against his foes. Of course, Tavros has changed a lot over the past two years, so I suppose it's not inconceivable that Vriska has, too. E: What'd make the most people angry: Vriska, tormented by the guilt she learned from John, is unable to bring herself to hurt Tavros emotionally and gets sucked into a joyless human marriage with him where he's constantly cruel because he believes that's what a healthy relationship with Vriska entails. Vriska could easily be exactly the same and it wouldn't really negate the possibility. I don't know if any of you follow Marvel or X-Men, but one of the writers has been building up a group of teenage villains who are deliberately as obnoxious, entitled, and condescending as possible. These bad guys just killed off a really likable, sympathetic character, and from the response online a lot of readers are pissed at the book's writer and feel like he's jerking the audience around. There are demands that the author be taken off the book, calls for petitions, that kind of thing. I wanna be like: guys. Guys. Let me tell you about a man named Andrew Hussie. What's particularly funny is that if I recall correctly, John doesn't actually know what Vriska looks like, so even after she shows up Hussie can continue dragging this out for quite some time. John may go through an entire conversation with Tavros and Vriska and wake up without ever actually knowing he was talking to her.

Judging from the way John's been getting progressively more freaked out over being replaced or shoved aside as a third wheel, it'd be totally apropos to set up a situation where he thinks even the crazy martian chick that hit on him that one time has moved on without him. Incidentally I totally would not put it past Tavros to misconstrue hanging out with someone without overt attempts at murder being made as a boyfriend/girlfriend situation.

Guys, John can totally identify them, he just needs to read the chatlog and see "TAVROS" and "VRISKA", an-oh right. I think actually the worst thing that could happen, at least for the John-Vriska shippers, would be for John to not only be completely unaffected by the fact that Vriska's dead, but also completely okay with the fact that Tavros likes her, and possibly the other way around. John moving on would be an unlikely scenario, but drat it if it wouldn't make Tumblr implode in on itself.
