I never set out to be weird. It was always other people who called me weird.
No idea how many people, but it wasn't too huge. 150-200 maybe. What's cool though is Dave Anthony came out to introduce them and basically said without UYD the whole Podfest wouldn't have happened, since it was listening to UYD that got him into doing a podcast in the first place.

Just got home from seeing the show at Los Angeles Podfest. Jonathan was especially on point, the funniest I've heard him be in a long time. And after the show when he was signing autographs and whatnot, he confirmed that he is NOT moving to New York and in fact sounded as enthusiastic about the show as he's ever been.

The live shows seem to revitalize Jonathan, he is always so pumped during them, feeding off of the crowd's energy.

It's good to hear that, the show has been seriously amazing for the last... poo poo, since 300 really. It's easy to think maybe they were just great because they became resigned to the show ending. UYD for life.

Conversely, if he starts doing them drunk it would probably be the funniest thing ever. I bet Seth was a blast to party with.

Goodness no, now that wouldn't do at all!

Oh man, I'm glad the NYC thing was a false alarm. I never got the feeling that Jonathan was burning out on the show (I think the phone thing was more extenuating circumstances) but it was sort of a nagging thought that UYD might fall apart if he moved.

I've only been listening since like last June, but I can't think of a single series across podcasts, TV, or whatever that I would miss more than UYD.

As long as someone makes a new episode of Seth's Corner semi-annually, I believe I will make it through.

Glad to hear Johnathan's not going anywhere. Also it's really weird to see them seated at a table like it's a press interview, instead of see Johnathan in a La-Z Boy and Seth standing near an empty La-Z Boy.

I really hope they do a show in the Midwest sometime but who knows :(

This really really rules and I say this should be edited into the OP. The music selections are so so essential to the show.

Glad you're liking it! I spent some time this evening adding more, and i'm up to about 230 songs now. The problem is for the first half of the show, they only list the artists and not the songs :( I pulled what I could from Weck's Wiki and made a handful of educated guesses.

If anyone knows a good source for lifting intros/outros other than the show notes/Weck's Wiki, i'm all ears.

It'd be totally dope to complete this list.

Doesn't bother me, I exclusively listen to podcasts on the HiFi in my wood-paneled den. The only headphones I own are quarter inch plugs, so they don't plug into anything portable anyway.

Jah always seems to thrive off the attention and crowd energy. That boy loves him some attention. Was it that early Brooklyn show where he was so into it he didn't even introduce Seth until Seth broke in and said "Let me just say something"?

I was going to point out, regarding the hosed up audio, that ipods and most stereos can be put in mono mode. When I went to enable that on mine this morning, it was already on, from last time some podcast was like this, probably a month or two ago. Don't forget to revert your audio settings, kids.

Yeah you can tell Jonathan gets really into doing the live episodes and seth is too nervous, its kinda interesting that they invert their roles so much for the live shows, its definitely less funny though since seth barely does anything

Seth was kind of being the depressing younger brother. It's like, "okay, yeah, that's funny I guess, but did you know that they chain women in prison to their beds to give birth!? How about that, huh?"
