Even Swedes and Finns mostly keep their accents, but Danes seem to start singing "Ferry Cross The Mersey" the minute they land. I think maybe the people who easily pick up local accents don't have much experience with the language before? A theory which is constantly proven by Americans starting to speak in an English accent when they move there.
