Roxy was very probably the first alien she had ever seen, and attacking unfamiliar armed aliens is sound adventuring strategy. Plus, out in the Furthest Ring anybody you encounter is usually a ghost or a dream and therefore impervious to lasting harm.

I haven't seen any discussion of the most significant plot point from the update - in the third meenah quest, when dave was rapping he wasn't just writing any old rap. He was writing a rap to perform to lord english during combat Dave is planning on attempting to have a rap-off with the main villain of the comic. (you shattered the ring but theres more cracks in your rap) (your flows like warm milk that goes good with a nap) (yall claiming to be the lord of time) (all ya makin me feel is bored with your rhymes)

Yeah, it's worth noting that while most of the other teen-ancestor trolls in the dream bubbles have been there on a scale of decades to eons, Meenah just 'arrived' recently. That's probably why we play as her in the walkabouts- she's catching up with what's going on and learning what's the deal with a lot of things just as we are.
