On the subject of Power Rangers copy cats..

I remember in my school a lot of kids weren't allowed to watch Power Rangers because it would turn you into a karate master and you would kick your mum, or something. Nevertheless it was still 'cool' which led a lot of people to feign knowledge of the series. The funniest at the time was my friend whose mother had bought him a light-up action ranger figure or something from the pound store and he thought it was a real one, which we found hilarious, in addition he had the yellow ranger which was a girl, and of course a boy having a girl figure is even more hilarious to kids of that age. The weirdest incidence of feigned knowledge was another kid tried to sing the power rangers theme despite never hearing it, which resulted in him singing "power rangers" repeatedly in varying tones.

I actually didn't watch Power Rangers because even as a kid I had zero interest in it, so my way of feigning interest was half-heartedly buying some Power Rangers swag and then just tossing it in a box of junk when I got bored with it. Didn't even bother to show it off to anybody at school.

I think I tried to watch an episode of it once, and I realized it was horrible.

Anyway, did anybody else have either one of these?:

I can't believe that I, the people that made it, or anybody else on the planet could've possibly believed that "Body Rap" was a cool idea. I mean loving looking at that guy on the box.

Never understood why he was called James Bond Jr. when James Bond was supposed to be his uncle. Unless Bond had a brother who was also named James, but that seems a little far-fetched even for a '90s cartoon series like this one.

I remember being a 7-year-old Sonic-obsessed kid and watching this for the first time and being hugely disappointed.

It's a French-produced cartoon featuring Sonic the Hedgehog, who is by the way the son of an exiled queen. Oh yeah and he has siblings too. And they form a band and play lovely music. And Urkel voices all three of them.

And you thought anti-French sentiment was undeserved. :france:

Ugh. The worst part is that this sack of poo poo came after the other two Sonic shows which were decent in their own ways. Yes the ABC one is probably directly responsible for half the furries in existence, but they weren't around to ruin it when I watched it as a kid, dammit. :argh:

I mean, Jesus, kid, at least date a motherfucker with abortion money and house to have sex at where your mother and I don't have to hear it. Also, if he treats her poorly, boom, that asshole's gonna catch a statch charge.

Sometimes I miss the 90's craze of "Woman sings for a while then A LARGE EUROPEAN MAN YELLS SLASH RAPS AT YOU"

Then Scooter got big and just cut out the first part.

Scooter is like in a comic book where they discover some fragment of reality floating in the nether and it contains a version of Gotham from the 50's or something.

Scooter didn't cut out the first part, he just took it to the logical extreme and instead of interrupting a woman singing, he interrupts a hamster what is rolling on e's
