It was actually episode 11 they give a shout about 27 minutes in.

Actually that whole episode is great especially when they start throwing shade at disabled people.

WILL AMOUNT TO NOTHING IN LIFE.

My brother got drunk the other day and called Seth's landline. Seth's girlfriend picked up and talked with him for a few minutes. Seth called back and called my brother a "HerdaHaddaHerda." Made our day.

In light of the GiantBomb thread being moved here I found this. This may be the best podcast I have ever heard.

Right then, since I just found this amazing thing, can somebody tell me when it really gets into its stride, so I can start there for now? I've listened to ep 1 and 2, they were pretty great, but there are more than 300 of these things. I will get through them all, but for now I want to start around the lift and work my way to the rest.

hella greenbacks
I decided that it hit its stride at like fourteen different episodes, there are a lot of callbacks and references and if you're going to hear them all anyways why not just start at the beginning? There's no rush to get caught up (I only did a few months ago) and it's like you've been given 345 hours of comedy for free. Should sustain you for quite a few roadtrips.

Honestly, listen to them all in order.

I started from 1 while listening to the new ones when they were released.

Goodness no, now that wouldn't do at all!

Skip around, you'll miss out on certain references at first but then you'll always be able to jump back to 2006 or 2008 or whenever if you've got an urge to hear something that they don't do anymore. Why burn through all the To Catch A Predator goodness at once when you can spread them out?

E: I'm still less than halfway caught up.

Guess I am in for a long ride then. I don't know why, but I am listening to Ep 43 now... for some odd reason. I think the Viagra abuse in the description drew me to it. Man, I wish I had some road trips. Or a road trip. I would settle for just one.

But next shall be Ep 3, then the latest. Uhh thanks dudes.

I have 4 separate starting points I listen from. I've listened to 1-50, 75-90, 140-180 and 300-346. It's nice taking bites from different eras of the Banter Bro's comedy conversation.

(I have especially enjoyed the upper 100s)

Oh, and a great way to get a better feel for how shitman and fuckman roll is to listen to episode 100...and then WATCH the clips from that episode in glorious technicolor on the 'tube.

People say listen to them all in order but that's such a daunting task even for me. That said the 70s and the 120s are two groups of episodes that always stand out in my mind. Really, you can't go wrong except for the one episode where they got carbon monoxide poisoning.

I just got through all of the episodes after listening to the podcast for over a year while doing boring stuff like working out, cooking, etc. Go through them from 1-3XX, you will definitely be entertained by every episode.

This is the clip I use to introduce people to UYD. That or this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5a79nNCyCI

"Why are the Jabbawockeez dancing? Like, you're wife's having a baby right now."

I was introduced with the who's parenting harder clip with the little hands sticking out of the chicken wire cage in the back of the pickup truck clip, that's a solid one too. I think it would be really weird listening without knowing what Seth and Jonathan look like.

I need to say that some of my favs are in the 60s, and you are doing yourself a disservice by leaving those out. I think the 60s is where they really hit their stride.

As far as the overall question, you can really start anywhere, so you may as well start at the beginning.

I think there's a really steep rise in quality and confidence right at the start - only like the first 5 are noticably rough, then even by around 10 it's hit a pretty full stride. But yeah, you get so much more by listening to it through, once you get a bit in you'll be be worrying how few are left to listen to.

(also, a quote that rarely comes up but always makes me laugh is Seth screaming "IS THIS A KOREAN THING!?")

The first clip I used to get a friend into the show was about Colon Rollin', and she said it was disgusting but now colon rollin' is an in-joke of ours.

And this was the second clip I tried on her (in hindsight I probably should have started here). The way they talk about the kid snorting oxy never fails to crack me up and the phrase "this partying's...not right" is a new catchphrase of mine.

There's so much poo poo in each episode that there is no possible way to remember it all, especially with marathon listens like I do at work. It's like there's new poo poo when you listen for the second time.
