Yeah, apparently Chris Barnes was mad because CD. was selling way more merch than SFU, and at the show last night Chris talked poo poo about CD on stage, Travis confronted Chris after the show, Chris sucker punched Travis, blah blah blah... That was Travis's account from Facebook. Are you saying CD's vocals have gone to the opposite of amazing? Their new album's vocals are pretty radical, are they not as good live now? :\

I meant that CD's vocals are amazing. They played first. Then SFU came on, atrocious vocals, place clears out. I would say about 50-60% of the people left when SFU came on.

So I saw Gwar for the first time Tuesday night. That was... something. They decapitated Romney at the beginning of the set to much applause, then at the end they did the same to Obama and Cyber Jesus. I never really paid too much attention to Gwar's music but it was okay I guess. They even covered Kansas' Carry On my Wayward Son for Flattus, which was actually awesome. The show as a whole was hilariously fun. I highly recommend everyone seeing them once. Devildriver opened for them. They're one of my guilty pleasures and Dez seemed kinda un-energetic throughout the whole set. He just seemed to non-nonchalantly walk back and forth with his gigantic mic. They played all of their 'hits' and hit most of the songs that I wanted to hear. There were some pretty good pits going for them though. I'm getting too old for that poo poo though and just chilled in the bar area with my beer. Overall, great way to spend election night for $27 or whatever.

So Brockie finally got back to me and I'll be meeting him during the show, well, after the first bands set and tickets at the front door for will call, yay. Saw Napalm Death w/ Municpal Waste & Dayglo Abortions (didn't care for the local openers, I am bad, I know). Great show! loving Barney was amazing to take in live, it was my first time seeing them. ND is the reason I listen to "extreme" metal today as it was their video on Beavis and Butthead that suddenly opened my eyes. I got to get a picture after the set with him and it made my night. Tall mother fucker ... but im a short oval office at 5'5". I'll get some videos up later but recorded a few songs. This was at the Zoo here in Winnipeg which is scuzzy as gently caress! The front of the stage was barricaded off and was covered with broken beer bottles everywhere. Some dude jumped the barrier though and tried crawling up. Barney just stared down at him the entire time and was like, "Okay, get on with it...". Hope I can see them again soon. MW was amazing as usual but played a pretty short set. One person I met there said he noticed half the people left right after... guess they don't care for death metal. Lot of "thrash kids" as I like to call em, young people with their "thrash hats". It almost feels like a uniform but whatevs, im a old bitch at 29. One thing I realized, especially the next day, my body is getting super sore from these. As much as I like being at the front... I may be Danny Glovering this poo poo soon and keeping back. Not for GWAR though!

Some recent stuff: Saw Rotting Christ (interview coming soon), God Seed, Cradle of Filth and Dark End a few days ago. RC really killed it; God Seed is very doom, compared to Gorgoroth, and Gaahl just walked around the stage looking creepy as gently caress; Cradle of Filth was better than I expected, since Dani actually sounded like he could sing (then again, I expected pure poo poo, so it wasn't that hard to surprise me). The last episode featured a Tyr concert. Admiral Dumbass wasn't on that show though as I believe he was incarcerated in Germany at the time so the effort was headed by First Mate Pubestache. He has since skipped bail and is currently wanted by Interpol so he essentially lives on the derelict rustbuckets Sea Shepherd uses to murder impoverished brown people over fish and harass the Japanese.
