Yeah, he never really slapped her down, and didn't address it when she kept it up after. Considering he's laid into entire crowds for being a little more quiet on a joke than he would've liked, I have to wonder what was going on here. Most places would have ejected somebody being that much of a distraction to a show.

He probably could not hear her as well from the stage as we can from the audience mic in the podcast.

The netflix story starting around an hour and seventeen minutes is possibly my favorite Proops moment EVER. Between that and the story about Rose Mcgowan and Marilyn Manson in the parking lot, I can't decide what I like more.

New proopcast, Greg mentions an interview he did on Jay Mohr's Mohr Stories podcast, so I had to just stop and listen to that for context. It's loving amazing how well they get along, and how much they have in common, even. Two hours long, going at it like a coupla gossipy broads about Bette Davis and Duran Duran and stuff... I'm swooning.

I'd buy an album of him doing covers of Bond themes. Hell just a single with The Man with the Golden Gun.

I'm listening to the latest episode, Chips from Ediburgh right now. It's reminding me how much more I like the ones where he is in Scotland or England or some city in the US he doesn't go to much. Maybe I'm imagining it, but I feel like with the ones in San Fran or Bar Lubitsch he's too comfortable and doesn't go on as crazy tangents. Or maybe I really just like hearing him absolutely rag on other cities. The Las Vegas one was particularly hilarious in terms of how obvious it was that he did not want to be there and his disdain for the crowd.

I'm listening to Balaclavas, the newest episode, and he reads aloud some of his novel, "My Fist has Two Dicks". It's pretty bad.

Honestly, it really made me think of "Cuil Theory" where they just go into more and more bizarre and visceral abstractions. Greg just loves his purple prose. I just finished Greg Proops' biography My Fist Has Two Dicks and overall I was left disappointed. The stories are greatly exaggerated and I doubt any of that stuff actually happened to him, especially the parts with the talking kittens. At one point he mentions something about Kenneth Branagh dressed as Abraham Lincoln and I thought he was joking; surely he must know about Isambard Kingdom Brunel. 0/10 stars would not recommend.

I ordered Two-Fisted Dick for my son and I was very disappointed. I found it in his garbage can after he read it, so I read some of it too. I can't believe ANYONE would publish this trash! My son loves Who's Line It Is and I let him watch it, even though it can get quite blue at times. 'BLUE' DOES NOT BEGIN TO DESCRIBE THIS TERRIBLE BOOK. Do not buy this book for your children unless you want their moral compass to be destroyed!

I'll go ahead and be the pariah, guys. I thought that was the lowest point in an episode where he went off on a long-as-gently caress Boring Preachy Part raging on America and topics that only Americans would really care about... In Scotland. C'mon, Greg. drat, dude. At least tailor your BPP to the audience somewhat.

It's not as though the poo poo that happens in America is A) Completely unknown to the rest of the world, and B) Completely unrelated to things happening elsewhere in the world. I think Greg has gone after British government in a few BPPs as well, though Scotland seems like a good place to bring that flavor out. Oh well.

I felt it was the other way around - he spent an hour prodding a million various topics, ending, at one point, on metal music in Kazakhstan, and still he just couldn't work with the crowd. I think ranting about republicans and Bush is his safe spot, and judging how he went off on the crowd after they boo`ed his Germany jokes, he was really upset. The whole thing got more fulent from that point on, but still, it's not a strong show - maybe because he did them like what, four days in a row?

Wow that latest episode is a lot of BPP. Not that it was bad, of course. Has Greg ever discussed the Bee Gees in length? I feel he would have quite a bit to say about them.

God, these episodes are so much better when the audience is super involved and pumped about everything. Way better than nearly any show he does in Europe.

Last night I sent Greg an email asking a couple things, including whether he'd consider doing an all Q+A episode. He wrote me back at like 8 this morning. I didn't think he would even wake up at 8! You guys should write him to ask the same thing, since frankly the segments other than the Q+A have gotten boring lately. (He said yes he'd consider it.)

The Modern Leper posted:This assumes that he actually has enough questions for a full Q&A episode. What's his listenership like? Well, considering he can talk for 45 minutes about which presidents should play on a baseball team, it seems like he would only need one or two good questions to fill an entire show.
