I'd like to have one of those russian in car setups myself. A front and rear would probably be the best but i honestly have no idea what i would even need to set it up. It's only a matter of time until i get hit on the way to work, more near misses than i can count.

Most of them honestly seem to be people following too close and not paying attention, just like here. The Driving in Asia compilations from the same guy have hilarious moped accidents and the occasional WTF like a completely smooth highway mountain road in the rain.

It does seem to me that while all makes and models are involved in those Russian dashcam videos, it seems like the exceptionally stupid poo poo is reserved for those boxy old Ladas/VAZs. My guess is that they're probably cheap as hell and driven by people who've never owned a car before (or people who spend all their money on vodka).

Actually, they're the only cars strong enough to survive the accidents, so they're usually featured in multiple videos. There was one video a while ago where a guy got t-boned pretty hard by another lada, and his door just fell off and he was absolutley fine. he probably drove around for another few years without that door.
