Customer images of the V/Watchmen/Constantine pack show three disks in the pack, one for each movie and the product details for all of them except the Kubrick pack list 3-4 disks. I think it's probably more likely Amazon screwed up the product details for that one but I may be wrong.

But yeah, sub $15 prices on them are rare.

ImportCDs seems to have best most consistently low prices on Kino releases, plus other "boutique" labels. No idea how reputable the site is.

By the way, Walmart has the regular 3-disc Brave (without the 3-D disc) for $18 and the 2-disc Star Trek '09 for $5. They also had a huge bin of decent $8 discs for Sony, Warner, and Fox titles like District 9 and Caddyshack. They also had To Kill a Mockingbird for $15 the Bourne films for $12 each.

I doubt it's actually a limited edition. I think the worst case scenario is that the next run will be done in cheaper/less lavish packaging (kind of like The Big Lebowski which received a digibook during the first run)

Blu-ray.com has a list of all the blu-rays on sale right now:
http://www.blu-ray.com/deals/?e=1

This list doesn't include upcoming prices, such as the Amazon deals for this week. Last year they had a counter up on the top of their site whenever Amazon was running one of the deals that said how many were claimed and how much time was left (which they do right now).

Be warned that a few of the movies look pretty awful, but the more popular ones like Vertigo and Rear Window look excellent. Even at this price, I'm just going to wait for the eventual separate releases and just pick up Shadow of a Doubt, Rear Window, Vertigo, and The Birds.

Yeah, I'm aware of the variable quality between films. I was just concerned if this was one of those occasional cases where the European transfers are different.

I've been considering waiting for the single releases too, but when I really stop to think about it, at least 6 of those titles I would want to own and there's really nothing I wouldn't value at all (don't judge me too harshly but I found Family Plot entertaining), so at this low of a price it's probably worth it.

CBS has been playing pretty hard with letting content go online or to Netflix. They still aren't on Hulu yet, and while they just announced a deal with Netflix, it looks like they're only putting on the completed CBS shows (CSI: Miami, etc.) So, I wouldn't worry about Big Bang Theory.

Personally though - where I live, a broadcast channel shows it at least two times a day in syndication, so I could never see a need for the DVDs. This is also how I stopped purchasing Simpsons/Family Guy DVDs.

Holy poo poo. If this is true I am all over this. It says they may also be re-doing all the effects similar to what they did with the TNG blu rays. I would think they would need to do that or it will just look terrible, and this is a series that really deserves it.

I'd have to move several bookshelves, and that still wouldn't solve the problem of gazing at an 84" screen with how close my couch already is. In my living room, if an 84" TV fell towards me with me on the couch it would crush me. Would make falling asleep in front of the TV a death sport.
