I am perfectly willing to believe Alpha Brain works but in a way similar to how Laudanum and all those patent medicines worked in the 19th century. So, in 100 years they'll be saying You took what?! And it was legal? after a whole bunch of people go blind or crazy after taking it for 10 years.

I'm glad he was present for the Duesberg (Aids Guy) episode though, as he read up on his poo poo and spat it out by rote, giving Aids Guy a springboard. Pink monkey Joe wouldn't have cemented the cracks so nicely by himself and it'd have either got awkward with "powerful Peter Duesberg" to break the pauses, or devolved into nazi humour sooner than it did.

I like Callen less the more he's on the podcast. Oh, and by the way, I enjoyed Callen more on Joe's older podcasts when he was telling stories about orgies, making out with ladyboys, getting blowjobs in bars, etc. The podcast he did with Jimmy Burke was entertaining.

Similar to Bert Kreischer fantastic earlier appearances. When Ari interviewed Bert for his podcast it was just two dudes chilling in Bert's Man Cave. Sort of low key and not very engaging.

Callen's dad is the guy who was in the CIA that didn't tell his family until he was retired right? Joe has mentioned a couple times before he has a friend who's dad was in banking but turns out he was in the CIA.

Listening to the Ice House shows without Joe is sometimes a nice change. The interplay between Brody Stevens and Don Barris is hilarious, with Don acting like he is trying to build Brody up and give him advice and then slipping in some backhanded compliments and having Brody react to him. I'm sure its funny because there is some truth to their act.

This is why I have to play the shows on ustream of vimeo. Every episode they'll have at least one instance of them talking about or reacting to an image or video that they'll be showing on the live show.

I haven't tried alpha brain, but I did try some other nootropics for a couple of months while preparing for a philosophy exam. It could very well be placebo and I have no way of ruling that out, but after a few days I felt like it actually had some sort of effect, and it seemed able to retain stuff I'd read, quicker. I'm a pretty bad student, and I'm usually terrible at remembering anything, but these BRAIN PILLS seemed to help. Your experience may differ.

Anyone else catch Joe Rogan on Dave's Old Porn? I've only watched one or two episodes when I know the comedian guest. Bill Burr's was okay. Joe's wasn't all that great. I did like it when he went into UFC commentator mode when Ginger Lynn was scissoring some other girl. First time I've heard the 50/50 guard mentioned outside of a BJJ school.

Joe's was better than most I've seen, he actually knew a bit about porn and is used to just talking/joking about nothing. Some of the guests really don't know what to say. Jim Norton was probably the best guest I've seen on there.
