Teaser poster for a film that's apparently called Mu. Also, the French poster for Riddick is out.

Yeah, I remember the last time I got excited for a Riddick movie. That turned out well.

From the trailer it seems to be pretty masturbatory. bowser fucked around with this message at 00:44 on Dec 2, 2012 |

Yonic Symbolism posted:Are Monkey Island and POC the ONLY stories about pirates Nope, but the amount of stuff PoTC cribbed from Monkey is a little crazy. You could change the name of PoTC to Monkey Island: The Movie, and change nothing in the movie itself, and it would basically be the perfect movie version of the game.

"Why does a Ben Lee documentary exist?" is a fairly reasonable question. He's sort-of notable for dating Claire Danes in the 90s and achieving a smidgen of success in his mid-teens with a novelty record about Evan Dando. I don't know if he still sells a lot of records in Australia or if anything remotely interesting has happened to him in the last 15 years.

Hey guys, for Christmas I'm making my apartment look cool and what I'm hoping to find is some artful and awesome movie stills and also possibly some foreign movie posters of American films. Know of any good ones and of any sites that sell high quality ones?

This is the most un-Star Trek of a Star Trek poster I've ever seen. Feels like The Dark Knight: First Contact.

It's probably not the main poster, but rather a UK variant.

I like the contrast between the un-Star-Trek image and the Starfleet logo. Kinda like the title: Star Trek Into Darkness.

I didn't say "space battles" though. If this is all set on earth it's going suck so many eggs. That seems like a good casting choice though, if not the most fascinating villain.

MikeJF posted:The Star Trek Movie Rule got thrown off by Nemesis not being a good one but in fact being the worst thing ever. Ahh, I remember this argument. Nemesis was bad but should have been good, and the reboot was good but should have been bad, and this confused scholars for an age. Until someone added Galaxy Quest (good) to the timeline, which restored balance.

I doubt it's gonna take place entirely on Earth or any other planet for that matter; the goddamn thing is gonna be in 3D. Abrams will almost certainly include lots of PEW PEW PEW and explosions and space shenanigans and 3 dimensional thinking. Nobody wants to watch a terrestrial-based ST movie.

Stare-Out posted:Because The Dark Knight Rises did the exact same thing. Broken/ruined buildings form a void in shape of the logo. Someone put a Batman cowl over Kirk's head. Terminator: Salvation did it as well with the buildings and rubble forming the T-800 skull. Toss it in the movie poster trope list.
