gonna say that actually food (cheap food) got a lot worse on average. nerds have always eaten poorly, but when you have the star trek nerds in the 70s subsisting on peanut butter sandwiches and canned beans and diner coffee you're gonna just be skinny. switch that to fast food and gallons of soda a day and vwoooooop
