At first I thought White Hat (later revealed to be Russell Peters) was Mix-Master-Mike's paid personal spokesman. I didn't finish before Dom Irrera went live, probably won't. ZeroDays posted:Anyone ever seen him? Hell, I'm curious I saw Redban open for Joe and Duncan in Austin. Relative to other openers I've seen, he is very strong.

Has anyone listened to the Russell Peters/Mix Master Mike podcast yet? I got to the part where Mike says "look, I don't have a problem with homos, but" and just turned it off.

Yeah, that was pretty bad, but I powered through and really enjoyed their MMA/combat sports discussion. I hope everything works out for Duncan

Joey James' special is on his website for $5 starting today. I assume its redban free so I think I'll fork over the cash.

Does anyone in this thread actually like TJRE? Because it seems like everyone who posts in here just complains about Rogan/Redban/the podcast and picks apart what's said. Or is it one of those things where it's not cool to like it or you're embarrassed to admit it, so you have to poo poo on it?

Yes you have uncovered our dark secret and we all pretend to hate him just cause we're all too chicken poo poo to be called Rogan fans on the internet!! Every single discussion thread about anything always has harsh criticism, especially on this site. We discuss the good and the bad here, but like all things the bad is usually funnier and more fun to break down and talk about. I eventually see this same loving post on just about every thread I have bookmarked. Like clockwork

JRE is perfect "I'm wasting time on the computer" background noise for me. If I'm playing TF2 or some other game I don't care about the sound/music in. And I genuinely love the shows with Shane Smith, Ari Shaffir, and Duncan Trussell, or if I see someone weird/cool like Les Stroud or Mix Master Mike. If it's just Redban/Segura/some other nobody and Joe, I'll probably skip though. Oh, and Joey Diaz is a definite listen for him, and for Joe's perfect impression of him

I enjoy the show even if I haven't been a big listener lately. Its just some entertaining craziness to watch/listen to when I'm bored. Its turned me on to cool things like standup and people like Duncan, Ari, Bert and Joey. Id actually call Ari's podcast my favorite because it's a little more structured and without the heavy conspiracy theories and MMA talk.

Bitching about the JRE is half the fun. Rogan knows it and plays off it. Don't mean we don't like it. I'll always listen because I have 8 hours at work to listen to poo poo and I need to break the audiobooks and music up somehow.

They're people with personality flaws who talk for two hours at a time, and we're people that have listened to 100+ hours of them talking. You tend to get nag about those flaws.

Podcasts like the Victor Conte one or any time Joey is on and telling stories is as entertaining as anything I've listened too. But for each of those there's probably 5 podcasts of conspiracy and drug circlejerking or loving Eddie Bravo.

The main thing that grates me about the podcast is when Joe starts going on and on about mushrooms. I usually enjoy the drug conversations, but once he starts talking about McKenna and mushrooms being the source of Jesus, Santa Claus, human evolution, etc. I tune out.

On the latest Kevin Pereira podcast Joe was a guest for 20 whole minutes precisely until the other guest offered to show him an oral sex technique to use on a woman and Joe pretty much had a panic attack and immediately ran off the show

You're not alone. I've enjoyed his previous specials, but I only laughed a few times at this one. The material didn't seem clever at all. Instead it just sounded like ramblings he came up with while high in the isolation tank... which was probably the case.

They were just rehashed "it would be cool if..." high school level comedy writing that he already exhausted in past specials. It's all there: gorilla loving, mountain lions, absurd theories about existence that Joe actually believes in real life, thinking aloud about how gross vaginas look and how dumb women are, and 7 solid minutes on getting tricked into gay sex.

The special was okay. Nothing exceptional but I don't regret watching it. I have heard him talk about regretting his hair transplant before but I didn't realise he had a huge loving scar on his head from it.

I cracked up just seeing the snapshot of the podcast and Stanhope's used car salesman suit. Stanhope is one of my most favorite people in the world. I spent a whole weekend just reading every blog on his website about his crazy life and traveling and Bingo.
