ASK ME ABOUT BEING ALLERGIC TO POSITIVITY

I was confused as to how those monsters seem to wreck everything yet some massive facility was left alone long enough to build a bunch of elaborate 100 ft tall robots.

My understanding is that there were several months, even years, between the initial attacks. Also I'm not sure why you expected to get all that back story from the trailer, or why you really care about the logistics of constructing a giant robot warrior.

Or they knew about the attacks beforehand and started building in secret :tinfoil:

Decades more likely. Del Toro revealed that the child we see early on in the trailer is the Asian pilot in the past when the monsters first attacked. Since she's an adult during the "current" events in the trailer humanity must have been fighting the Kaijus for a very long time

Ok this is starting to make more sense.

Having not really grown up with giant robots I dont see the point... well okay i loved me some power rangers, but even then it always seems like the giant robots did more harm to angel grove than help.

But I like the idea that giant robots are born out of decades of battle. That nukes worked okay, but had too much fallout and that what really worked best was a rocket punch to the face.

New Star Trek Into Darkness trailer.

Pretty much just an extended version of the 1 minute trailer, but there's quite a bit of new stuff. Looks fantastic.

It's not going to prevent me from wanting to see this or anything. I understand it, it just kind of took me out of the trailer for a minute.

Combine that with the trailer for Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, and you have a perfect trailer for a movie adaptation of Hotline Miami.

Trailer for Seth Rogen's directorial debut "This is the End"
http://movies.yahoo.com/video/end-redband-trailer-200405037.html
Its kind of a meta-disaster movie as Seth Rogen, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson and Jay Baruchel (as themselves) try to survive the end of the world. It looks pretty drat funny.

This is either gonna be lovely as hell or brilliant, and either way, I don't think it's gonna recoup what it took to pay all of those people.

This looks like awesome fun. And I love that they are playing themselves, which is neat. I can't wait for this.

Here's the trailer for The Place Beyond the Pines, the new movie from Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine), with Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Ben Mendelsohn, and some other awesome people. This looks utterly fantastic, and I'm going to rev the hype train as hard as I can for what should be one of the best movies of 2013. March can't come soon enough.

I'm guessing Weekes, the guy who came from New York, but with a different name for some reason.

Ed Harris as Du Bois is just inspired casting.

I saw a couple of trailers before Django Unchained that I don't believe have been posted in here yet.

Dark Skies:

Getting the feeling this is one of those trailers that gives away the ending.

Dead Man Down:

I knew WWE Films is trying to break out of just releasing direct-to-dvd schlock starring pro wrestlers, but this is not what I expected. Still though, Noomi Rapace and Colin Farrell.

So, these are a series of videos made by Kees van Dijkhuizen, who every year since 2008 has made what amounts to a single extended trailer for all the movies released that year. I was impressed with the editing and the musical cues and I came out the other end of these thinking "I want to watch every single one of these movies" so I thought they were good enough to be worth sharing.

It's pretty late, but I remember seeing a trailer for Zero Dark Thirty on NBC's week 17 Sunday Night Football (Redskins vs. Cowboys). It was cut with all the Operation Neptune scenes with DEVGRU kicking down doors & going all :bustem: . This gives me Mission Impossible vibes where the biggest action scene/climax is shown in the trailer. I understand why they cut the trailer this way (action for the football crowds) but I worry it really sold the movie as an action flick when in reality it's going to be more procedural. The Operation Neptune Spear scene is the last 1/2 hour of the film at most.
