He posts it on his mod page on the Nexus:quote:Since car behaviour simply cannot be simulated without direct access to world physics, CARS! actually uses a completely different approach from the previous XRE vehicles. It's not a physics engine in fact, the vehicles run on the game's own engine and are manipulated completely by projectile forces. . . The first part of this system translates pre-configurable two digit forces to listed projectile pairs, which are designated to a specific function (driving, steering, wheel centering) at a pre-specified state (usually the car's velocity) to create a user configurable force-to-state curve. This provides scriptable control of the car's velocity limit, accelleration curve falloff, etc. . .

Holy poo poo. How do you even come up with that solution? I assume it will be pretty crash-prone, unfortunately, because Gamebryo. Also scripts. But that's really cool still.

Is the FAMAS F1 from The Armory bugged? I have the reload animation mod installed, but instead of reloading, the reload key just instantly gives me full ammo. e: And now the AK-313 I just paid all of my caps for is doing the exact same thing. These are the only 2 guns out of something like 30 custom ones I've used so far with this problem. The weapon animation mod isn't supposed to have any .esms or .esps, right? Mosnar posted:Having a horrible and aggrevating CTD issue on my 6th? 7th? playthrough. ANy time I access a vendor list (Gun Runners, Travelling Merchants) or the weapons list in my Pip Boy - instant CTD. Quoting myself from ages past to review and update. Tried disabling mods, running Fallout.exe and/or fnv4gb in compatibility mode, tweaking resolution in game and via ATI interface ... and not getting any love. Still was having (more than usual) freezes and CTD's. Coming to the realization that I was running three mods that all modified weapons was a good start. I disabled The Armory and GRA (leaving AWOP 'cause I love it so) and started a new game. Love was all present and universal! ... for a while. As the game wore on, being pleasing to the NCR and Legion without pissing either off too much until I unleash my Final Solution(tm), I reached a point where I could consistantly repeat game freeze .. around level 19 I think. Frustration anew!! I wept, I cried, I rent my garments! Calling into remembrance the wise words of Naky, the lure of the merged patch floated before me .. I downloaded NVEdit, watched one tutorial on it, and set my visage as flint to create such a wonderous thing. Quickly I realized I had no loving idea what I was doing as there was only one thing (energy weapons)referenced in my new merged patch, and so set about to scour the interwebs for the actual drat manual for the thing which, irony of ironies, can be found in the OP. Imagine, if you will, or don't, my surprise that conflicts veritably ~abound~ in FONV. Created not only by mods, but even by DLC's! I changed a number of skeletons, a GREETING here and there, and some other stuff I'm sure I'm not recalling, to winnow that conflict list down to only one item that I still don't have any drat clue what to do about. My game now runs as though buttery. Yes, I do have the occasional freeze and/or CTD, but it's down to a more normal, Gamebryo sort of level. Point of Post (POP): FNVEdit is actually rather easy to use, but is not intuitive! Fully read the manual, and devour as many YouTube tutorials as you can stomach.

gently caress, I can't figure out how to fix my problem. I started a game of New Vegas, played for about 30 minutes, saved, and quit. I went and installed a few mods: better performance, darnified UI, and NVSE. Now the game crashes when trying to load any of my saves, even if I remove both mods and launch from the new vegas executable. Every time I verify the game cache it redownloads a sub-1MB file that doesn't fix anything. edit: If I try to load from the standard New Vegas launcher the only button is "Install". If I click it, it gives me an error that says New Vegas is not installed. Fergus Mac Roich fucked around with this message at 23:23 on Dec 23, 2012 |

Good news, a total reinstall fixed it. I'm using DarnUI but I'm too scared to try anything else. It sucks because the game feels kind of stuttery even though I'm always above 50 fps and I really want to check out the anti-stutter mod.

I bet this is actually related to Fraps. double edit: Nope, not related to Fraps. The stutter remover crashes my game I think. I was able to get the game to start again after loading it without Fraps which made me suspicious but it started crashing again as soon as I put the dll back. Not sure if this troubleshooting is of interest to anyone but I'm going to give a different version of NVSE a shot. ; Nope. Seems pretty cut and dry: Stutter remover makes my game crash upon loading. What else could I be missing? I checked the readme and I don't think I forgot anything. By the way, I do have the ini file for stutter remover, but I haven't changed anything in it yet. JoeCool posted:Does anyone know what mod could be causing red exclamation marks to fly out of peoples heads when I shoot them? Red exclamation marks is the game indicating it can't find a mesh or texture. So either you have a mod that attempts to attempts to edit those blood effects, but fails miserably. Or said mod is fine, but you installed it wrong or aren't using ArchiveInvalidated. If you're using EVE, the problem is probably EVE and not something you did wrong. I'm getting CTD's every 30 minutes or so. It's super irritating so I'm trying to figure out the culprit. I've ran BOSS and FNVedit, and everything checks out fine yet when I launch the game the whole thing runs like poo poo on a poo poo sandwhich. (PS The mods I downloaded are all so that I can have a guy who starts out both rich and hated, with no combat skills who talks his way through most things, and uses a large group of friends for the rest. Which is why I have all the follower mods, the more perks trait, the 999 perks trait, and CCO love his follower tweaks. I also want everything including myself to be extremely squishy all throughout the game.)

No I didn't know what it was, so I download a program that lets me modify EXE's setting whatever and the game seems to be much smoother. Now I need a stutter fixer that isn't going to break all of my mods forever.
