It was really a good series, though seeing Chris O'Dowd playing a serious character took some brain-calibrating to deal with.

Air Scotia was modelled off the airline my dad flew for, so my mum finds it even funnier because it was pretty accurate, according to her.

Comedy is awful, film at eleven.

That said, the "giant sports day and party for an old lady" isn't offensive. Like, at all. Neither are half the jokes, even by normal standard and not Carr standards.

I like how the Mail effectively admitted to astroturfing Sachsgate complaints, though.

I just got round to watching the Big Fat Quiz and some of it was pretty cringy. Ayoade actually just looked embarassed to be there for large parts of it. That said, the Mail is being its usual self in that article. And I actually found Whitehall and Corden much funnier after they got drunk, which says something (this coming from someone who actually likes Whitehall).

Yeah, Brooker hasn't been good on any panel show he's been on. I remember when he got announced for the Big Fat Quiz and everyone jizzed themselves, but he hardly contributed.

Going to watch this year's in a bit. Normally, I'd be all 'gently caress Jack Whitehall' but, and I can't believe I'm saying this, he's actually grown on me slightly over the last year or so. It's probably something to do with this:

He's actually alright live but because he obviously crafted this image of him being exceptionally witty in a casual scripted format people mistakenly thought he could re-create it in a non-scripted casual format.

I thought this year's Big Fat Quiz was quite good. Jack Whitehall and James Corden were fine by me, but then again, I've never had a big problem with Whitehall and he's great on Fresh Meat. And let's face it, everything is better than last years David Walliams/Miranda Hart combo, which was just trying too drat hard.
