Wow I'd like to be as smart as a computer
i overheard a conversation between "ouya hackers" and apparently the USB port having a cable and socket arrangement is because you may want to change case and use a two-port card that plugs in the standard usb socket

two persons talked about it and thought it was a good idea.

that is a reason to provide a usb header, it is not a reason to use it for the board mounted usb jack an eighth of an inch away

one its not for sale or resale so its technically valueless

two it's to a person and not a company so depending on the item it can be a personal purchase and therefore duty free (this would qualify)

they should have valued it at $100 though since (again depending on hts classification) shipments up to $250 are exempt from duty regardless

btw if manifesting "errors" were something customs cared about nothing from asia would ever arrive here

its the brokers responsibility to get the proper paperwork to customs anyway not the consignor which is what i do. while regulations are clearly defined youd be surprised how much grey area and individual discretion is at work when it comes to import and export

i remember watching a documentary about the customs at dover and whenever they decided someone coming back from france had "too much" wine and it might not be just for them they seized all the wine and the car and everything inside it. ouch.
