20 1-minute exposures of the Peiades. Until I fix my auto-guider this is the maximum exposure length before I get significant star trails at 70mm. At least I'm getting a bit of nebulosity.

Aw, thanks guys! I also took this 30" a couple days ago (at night). Not sure if I like it as much, but it's cool in that it makes you think about the fact that colors (or, I suppose, surfaces that will reflect light) continue to exist despite our inability to see them as such.

Set up at Wilsons Overlook for new years eve with this view.
Rented a 15mm f2.8 fisheye so I could get the river, city and fireworks all in shot.

Didnt see a single firework, the city is struggling with money (at least thats what our Premier says) and so this years display was small and subdued, hidden behind the city in this shot. A few low bursting fireworks and some lasers. Pew Pew.

So I amused myself with the fisheye instead.

And later in Lightroom I tried recreating some of the promotional shots that I see of Brisbane, all shiny lights and oversaturated colours.

30 sec exposure because I don't have a cool remote shutter yet.

It's really foggy.

Loving this, you should check out Todd Hido's work if you don't know him, it's pretty similar. (Lots of his pictures are NWS as well FYI)

30s exposure @ f/5.6, Ilford FP4+ rated for ISO 125, developed in Ilford DDX at 24*c, 28mm lens on a Canon A1 body.

During the exposure I walked up and down the length of the train manually triggering my flash.
