Those people all sound American, so what's an M1 license? Everywhere I've seen in the free world calls it an endorsement. Or just a motorcycle license.

Sitting in 20 miles of snarled traffic into downtown Tampa is not my idea of a good time. I cringe in my car, gently caress sitting there waiting for the guy reading a book to slam into me. If splitting was made legal it would take years to not be afraid some redneck in his brodozer would rage and kill me over it though.

Still a really simple rocket engine, but a bit more complicated than the U-shaped kind.

They rarely see you coming anyway, and it's rare anybody has a problem with it. If they do, you're just another lanesplit away from getting away from them. I'm pretty sure I've said it before but hanging near the center line is my favorite move in slow and heavy traffic, you can quickly cross the line to pass and split and if someones not paying attention I'm off to the side so it's less likely I'll be rear ended.

Orlando here, confirmed. In two years exactly one person has raged after splitting up to the front of a light. However, highway splitting is verboten for me- see too many other dudes on bikes pulled over for that.

If they rage you just have to stand your ground and shoot them. Riding without splitting is painful, I was doing it for a while here in Montreal and then just said gently caress it and started doing it anyway.

This stuff is easier. http://www.phantomplate.com/ Not sure about it's legality but it is effective. When I was rolling through and photoshopping out license plates from that toys for tots run I noticed several that were already unreadable due to what I assume is an application of this product or similar. I had no idea people had it applied until I got home and started looking at the photos. Granted... I wasn't all that interested in the plates while I was there in person and might have overlooked that a couple of them were just outright covered with something.

pfft ktm... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUW8WQjBvug&t=298s Hah. I was just watching the beginning of Long Way Down, the Africa one, yesterday and Charley was cracking me up. The scene where Ewan tells him that his wife will be riding with them is just very uncomfortable for Charley and he barely holds it together. It cracks me up everytime. http://imgur.com/a/fwYMv Watching that again I realized I enjoyed their "prep" episodes more than the riding ones. The prep was at least interesting all the way thru. The riding ones have some really cool parts and some great scenery but a lot of boring bits and just them riding thru a place while knowing nothing about it.

Long Way Round is still better, IMO. With the Long Way Down it's like eh, they've already done this before. LWR has the sense of at least trying something new and risky* Though yeah, the scenes where Charley reacts to Ewan bringing his wife are pretty great. Major bro-foul, dude. Plus she crashes all the loving time. *eight-truck convoy of cameras and supplies and radios and customs lawyers and production assistants notwithstanding

Because while he's a nice enough guy, he's a bit of an ignorant tool, and so is Charley. They'd be fun in small doses. Except I did see someone say on some message board that they lived near Charley's hometown and saw him a lot and he could never shut up about his trips. All hearsay tho. That would get old. It did have some great parts tho. Here's Charley looking like a twat with no pants on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqX0Zx5eVqM&t=798s nsaP fucked around with this message at 09:38 on Jan 12, 2013 |
