There's a short video that plays on the SA site if you try to open up threads without logging in. The scenes include a kid's neck getting crushed by a window, a woman getting hit by a medicine cabinet, a bag rolling out of and into a barn, a piece of a mirror flying through a spider web and onto a woman's eye, a man being blinded to death by the woman's mirror-eye, and a woman breaking a mirror with a chair. It looks like a cheesy, fun film to watch.

I don't honestly know if I'm thinking of a show or movie, but the scene is some guy gives someone else a neti pot (the thing you fill with warm water, stick in one nostril, and let the water flush everything out through the other nostril when you tilt your head) for a birthday gift or something. I think the guy even mentioned that it was his, but he didn't use it anymore. My fiancee also remembers this, but try as we might, we can't remember what it's from.

I'm trying to remember the name of this movie, I've seen it a few time on Comedy Central when I was younger. Basically it's about these teenagers who were obsessed with this "Feed Bag" thing that they sold at 7-11 and Circle K type places, and businesses were stopping the sale of them, so they were all trying to get the last few by breaking into the stores...any ideas?

The boogieman title reminded me of another movie, one I saw a few years back. It stars the sister of a moderately famous actress. She is haunted by creatures in the closet that try to drag her off into some void whenever it goes dark. It ends with her in an asylum where the light burns out and she gets dragged into the closet to her doom. I think it was produced by Roger Corman or his film company.

The name of this movie somehow completely disappeared from my mind to the point where I don't even know how to start Google searching it, and the movie is meta enough that if I try searching for it's one defining feature it brings up so much unrelated stuff. I apologize for not being able to give a lot of specific detail like actor names or approximate year it came out but if you know the movie you will instantly recognize it. The movie's gimmick is that characters instead of having actual dialogue would say the meaning of the phrases they are supposed to be saying. So instead of "Hello, how are you doing?" they would say "I see you and acknowledge your presence, I show interest in your current well being", or instead of "Oh, really?" they would literally say something like "A disinterested expression of doubt."

I'm looking for a Jamaican movie I saw some scenes of last night in a bar. It was on mute with subtitles, so this is going to be kind of blurry. The movie definitely involved organized crime. The main character (?) took in a teenage girl and later told her that her father is in the mafia, to which she replied that she already knows. There's also a scene where he's getting changed in front of her, where you can see that he's wearing the most unflattering yellow briefs. There was another character called Hound____ (or ____hound? I can't recall) who gets beaten up by about four people at one point, after said main character drummed up support for raiding him for some reason. There was also a daylight scene on or near a beach where a Jamaican guy was talking to a white couple, who both looked kind of shocked about something. One of the characters was a singer (I think he was also part of the raid on Hound____'s apartment). The dialogue I saw seemed to imply most of the characters were Rastas - at least lots of "I and I"s. Yeah. Really kind of blurry. I hope this is enough for someone to recognize which film I'm talking about. Smirr fucked around with this message at 05:28 on Feb 2, 2013 |

I'd guess the film I'm looking for was from the 80s at the earliest, probably even newer. That, and its dialog was really chock full of Rasta terms, while The Harder They Come is in just regular old Jamaican Creole. It's not Rockers, either. I thought maybe I had somehow morphed Horsemouth into Hound____ in my head, but nope.

There's a movie where a kid climbs to the top of playground equipment, like a castle? or something, and jumps off. He/she either breaks his arm or a parent catches him/her. The kid either is possessed or coerced to do this by another child, or did it under extreme stress, or something. It is NOT Let the Right One In, but is probably from the past 10-20 years. I think the parent/babysitter was sitting on a bench. I do not remember when or where I saw this, probably within the past 10 years.

Wow this is a great thread. Fingers crossed I'll be able to ID a movie for someone soon rather than ask about them. There's a movie that probably won't be remade any time soon. It was from the 1980's and it was about the rich having orgies where they become blobs and eat people. There was a poor male love interest and a rich female love interest.

This is a kung fu movie: I really don't remember too many details of the plot because I was tossing my cookies that night. An old man who used to know kung fu when he was younger somehow remembered it. I think he also recruited some of his old senior citizen buddies who he also fought with and they get attacked by some young guys. That might be the plot. I only saw the last 30 minutes. It is a foreign film, not in English. Also it was a comedy I think.

I saw half of this old horror movie when I was 9 or so, this was back in the mid 90's. I guess the movie is from 80s but im not sure. It told a story of this small village where most of the people were farmers, and are scared shitless of some monster that apparently lurks outside their village from time to time and was able to possess some of the villagers iirc. Really hazy on the details, parents only let me watch half of it. I didnt even get to see the monster, I have no idea if they showed it or not. Remember a lot of scared farmers though.
