How does new game+ quest loot work? Does the loot scale with your level? Does it scale from when you take the quest or when you turn it in?

Relin, it does scale with your level, but you want to finish the main story before you go to do any of the side quests in playthrough 2. After you kill the Warrior in playthrough 2, everything gets jumped to 50, including the loot. If you go to your save games (Y button on 360, Triangle on PS3), when you select a character that completed PT1 and is going through or finished PT2, you can pick which one to load the character in. Oh my god, it almost feels like cheating playing Gaige. Deathtrap is pretty strong, but going down the middle tree and taking all the shock abilities is crazy! The only thing I can't handle with it are Ion Loaders, and I have Moxxi's shotgun for those.

If anyone is up for power-leveling with Terra or creating mule bank accounts by farming Terra for iridium or just duping the poo poo out of skins and heads, hit me up at GT KidKrampus because I could sure use a mule-making buddy. I played the slots for iridium so much I actually got my first Vault symbol win and netted me a level 14 Sledge's Shotgun. And maybe like, 20 iridium, gently caress. Oh yeah, and if you don't know how to do the ES glitch and would like to just gently caress the raid bosses, I am totally willing to do that too.

I have a Shock CC, Black Hole shield, Eviscerating Thunderball Fist, Legendary Mechromancer Class Mod and a bunch of other legendaries useful for the Mechromancer. Switch to Cunning tree and get Death Blossom + Death Mark. Equip your best shotgun. Equip a relic that reduces your cooldown. Mash Action skill button. Follow up with shotgun blasts. Waltz through the rest of the game.

Fire Grenades, Fire Bullets, or Fire Rockets - take your pick. Almost everything that has a prefix will require an elemental counter to deal with it. For example, Armored Maniacs take an eternity to down unless you use corrosive shot, Generic Badass humans need fire if they're not shielded, and nothing likes getting slagged. It becomes a bit of a pain to get a nice mix of elements in the type of guns you prefer, but that was the path of least resistance when Gearbox made a 'Hard Mode.'

If you download the skins and join an online game, do the other players see the skin too? Not that it matters, I wouldn't give up the Gaige frog hat anyway, but some of the skins are quite nice.

Cool thing happened yesterday- friend and I decided to go on a raid-boss-killing run and just kill 'em all in one long string. When we got to Hyperious, he just kept respawning. Like, both if us left the room and he would spawn again, without even pulling the lever and spending Eridium again. We must have killed that bastard 20 times- when we were done there was so much useless loot on the ground that some of it was just flickering in and out of existence. Is the respawning thing normal?

They got rid of the lockout so they all respawn now. Dunno if they'll put it back in or not so go and grind those crystals now that you have the chance.

80 points for all of them would probably have been a more fair price. Maybe 200 points max. Probably would have spent that much to get a boatload of new skins but 80 points for a head and a skin is ridiculous.

Found the legendary siren mod in a vending machine as the item of the day. Too bad my only siren is level 8. Anyone down to take on Terra or any other raid boss sometime my gt is nudejedi. Rockin' a level 50 gunzerker.

If someone had told me I'd still be playing this game last september I would've disagreed. Just wrapped up the new DLC and I enjoyed it a lot. I played with a level 33 assassin w/ legendary gear and it felt really well balanced with my equipment being more than decent, but I could see it being really painful without. Has there been any word yet on what season 2 of DLC will be? Or really any comment on the possibility of it happening at all?

BL1 is almost unplayable without a map on the screen. What were they thinking? And the fast travels only show the DLC locations.

Pretty far into the game with my Gunzerker but thinking of starting over with the Mecromancer. I can't seem to Gunzerk long enough for it to be worthwhile. I'll whip my second gun out and manage to cap a couple of people before dying. I also want to buy ONE DLC if The Cave isn't up to snuff. Which one should I get. Keep in mind I'll probably get the other after payday anyway.

What would the game be like without easy, riskless duping? Clearly they designed that trade function for some kind of bartering, and one of the loading screen tips mentions dueling for choice loot. It seems like everybody uses basically the same high tier equipment, rather than any of the billions of guns they advertised. I think that's probably more a balance issue than a duping one, but with how rare the orange drops are, I think duping definitely factors into it.

I went all the way through playthrough 1 and most of TVHM with whatever guns I came across naturally. It wasn't until the very end of TVHM that I was exposed to duping and up to that point, the game was certainly more challenging but not impossible. For reference I play Axton, usually solo but sometimes with another Axton. The only thing I think duping made significantly easier were raid bosses before the patch that nerfed The Bee.

I'm using a build right now on my Commando that only uses 2 orange guns: the Kerblaster and the Unkempt Harold. Before the Bee nerf I was just using the Bee and 4 of the most broken guns I could find. With what I'm doing now I feel like I'm actually playing the game.

There are definitely generic purples worth using. Torgue Ravager shotguns absolutely destroy everything, and the legendary Torgue shotgun is so completely awful that there's no reason to ever use it.

My plasma caster is better than most of my legendaries and uniques. loving love that gun. But yeah, purple shotguns are highly underrated. I've got a restructured thinking which does crazy damage.
