I started wearing bracelets. I have one with a clasp like this :  I loving hate these clasps. It's a nightmare to put on and takes me way longer than it should. Is there some secret to putting these on?

So I have a headset (single ear cup and boom mic) that was a 2.5mm jack but quite frayed. I have a spare cord with a 3.5mm jack on it so I thought I'd graft them together but when I stripped the wires I got this: I'm an idiot, what do I do!? Is there a better thread to ask in? I think there used to be a DIY electronics thread but I can't find it.

I'm not quite sure how your headphones are wired. The good news is that these things definitely aren't carrying enough current to do damage to your electrical equipment, so plug in the jack, stick the headphones on, and hold different combinations of wires together until you can hear your music.

I'm sure if you look at the list of printer drivers, most of them will be for printers 5, 10, or even 15 years old. And the older they are the less standardized they tend to be so the more necessary actual distinct driver packages are.. for most of the new printers multiple printer listings will actually be using the same driver. But it'd be confusing to people to list a driver as "WhateverCo Printers 500D-678C" so they get individual listing for each printer.

I agree on the left side that black is probably ground. But on the left side, I'm torn. A braid of conductor wrapped around other stuff usually screams Ground - it's often called "shielding." On the right side, I'd guess that is ground. Anyway, the other guy is right, you can't hurt anything with alligator clips and trial'n'error.* *edit: IN THIS CASE. There are plenty of other devices where you can very much hurt things with trial'n'error.

I have one with a clasp like this : Clasps are usually tiny and frustrating because they look ugly otherwise, but depending on what the bracelet itself looks like you might not really care. Any jeweler should have some different clasp types and can easily swap them out. The actual parts are super cheap and the labor should be too, possibly free if you buy the clasp in their shop. If you feel confident enough in working with jewelry and have a bunch of precision tools, you can probably just buy one online (here's an example, just the first result I clicked, no idea abut the site). Toggle clasps, the easiest kind, don't fully close, they're just different shapes that lock into each other, like S shapes or a bar in a circle. My favorite of the tiny and fully locking types is the spring ring. They can come out of line if you manhandle them, but my fingers always seem able to open them very easily, just a squeeze. Actually, I forgot about "barrel" clasps until I saw them on that website, they're just two threaded pieces that screw in and are probably the most reliable solution. The one you posted really is the worst kind, my mother regularly asks me to help her put on a bracelet with that clasp type when I'm around. I figure she's been handling jewelry for about 40 years, so it doesn't get much better. So the short answer is no, those are really annoying clasps unless you have pixie fingers or just the right sized nails.

What do you all do with your junkmail? Is it waste or even useful to shread and recycle them? Obviously I do it with financial statements, but what about regular rear end junkmail with your name and address? I get paranoid even throwing that straight into the trash.

I look at the junk mail, and if it's got good clean photographic elements that appeal to me, I take them out and make art out of them. The rest of it I recycle, and anything with any personal info on it gets shredded.

However specialists, some doctors surgeries & perhaps even the occupational health department of your workplace (if it's a big enough company or in an industry concerned with hearing loss) will have it.

Choose hz and choose waveform and it will generate 30 secs of it in the timeline. Not sure on the waveform thing, I think sine is normal, not sure what the sawtooth and square are but they sound bad. Like cakefool said, if you are concerned about your hearing for health purposes, see a medical professional. If you kind of want to get an idea just for the sake of "fun", you can look up mosquito ringtones online. They will usually give you a range from 2400hz down to maybe 1300hz (Which anyone can hear, IMO). This can give you a rough idea of your upper range. If you want to go for lower limit, you can try what wagonburner suggested and play with audacity or other program that can generate tones.

My 2 daughters are new to it as of Dec. and we just picked up a crapload cookies. I think they're supposed to wait a week to sell them but we're leaving for vacation in less than 2 weeks. Wife says they should just start now. They all want me to take stuff to work to sell. Is selling before the date serious business? I just...I just don't know anymore y'all. I just happened to look up on facebook this guy I knew in middle school because I wondered if he managed to get out of his lovely life or not. His profile picture is a ripped Wolf flipping the bird. All of his friends' profile pics are animals as well. I was literally shaken a little bit when I realized he had become a furry. Has this happened to anyone else?

The basic driver for printers and other hardware is usually fraction of the total install. The last printer driver I installed was ~700MB. The actual driver needed to print was around 5MB.

You're on all kinds of public records at that point. You haven't seen junk mail until after you buy a home. You can also get a PO Box and direct all mail there. I do that for all my online stuff because ingest tons of crap due to non-private Whois records. Paperkarma works well. Periods go outside the parentheses when the parenthetical is within a complete sentence. Periods go on the inside of the closed parenthesis when the parenthetical is used independently (e: and also a complete sentence). The most widely used style guides recommend you not use parentheticals outside of a complete sentence unless you're writing fiction. In which case, do whatever the hell you want in regards to style.
