I still get a kick out of watching this segment-- the gist was that Cena had a match against ... someone or other, with the stipulation being that if Cena (then still in Rapper!Cena mode) lost, he would have to get his mouth washed out with soap, but if Cena won, then Smackdown GM Paul Heyman would get his mouth washed out with soap. Lockdown, Sacrifice, Slammiversary, Destination X and Hardcore Justice were all fantastic PPVs. The company tried some neat concepts that ended up working like Championship Thursday, the wrestling was top notch and even Hulk Hogan was a good GM. That angle between Roode and Aries was off the charts on how great it was executed. You really didn't know going in who would win because all year it felt like a foregone conclusion that Roode was going to face Storm at Bound for Glory for the TNA World Title and Austin Aries push just felt surreal like you were expecting the rug to be pulled at any minute. It was at Hardcore Justice they decided to take the Aces and Eights storyline from bikers attacking Hogan and Sting to an invasion storyline and that's when the company also decided to have Jeff Hardy win the Bound For Glory series and eventually beat Aries at Bound For Glory. Austin Aries had an inexplicable heel turn the Impact before Bound For Glory and all of these things flushed TNA's momentum down the drain. Since then the product feels exactly how it did around this same time last year before TNA had their positive streak. Only instead of Garrett Bischoff: Future of Wrestling we got Brooke Hogan: Poor Man's Stephanie McMahon. Also instead of constant Sting main events we have Jeff Hardy shoved down our throats.
