I'm hopefully going to shoot some new home/office photos sometime soon.

You haven't even seen the mess of old cameras on top...

But it actually doesn't take much time at all. I hit all of the intricate stuff with compressed air, then wipe off the open surfaces with a microfiber cloth.

I am not as I was.
A local bar & grill burned down some time back and was eventually demolished after a lengthy dispute with the city. I have been waiting for the fences to come down to take some texture shots of the foundation and was not disappointed, there are some interesting surfaces to observe.

Man, you would loving love Christchurch, New Zealand. Half the city is just exposed foundations.

We might be fucked, sir.
Fallen Rib
Shots like that are usually called "panning". Slow-ish shutter speed (I like 1/80), and follow the car looking through your camera, press the button as one smooth movement as it goes by. It works with any reasonably-quick object, cars, bikes, birds, people or dogs or other animals running, to give a nice impression of speed.

And yeah, it is fun!

Have some not-panned shots

I am a mouth, and I must scream

I went to a place called French Island. Rather than finding a paradise of baguette trees and croissant plantations on the beach as one might expect from a place with such a name, I got sunburned and eaten alive by giant mosquitoes who gave not a fig for the liberal amounts of insect repellant I had applied. Also there were koalas.
