I love Morgan Freeman. With the right material, he is really good. I know his filmography well enough to say that I don't think he's ever impressed upon me as a Badass Motherfucker, and I think he's horribly miscast in any film where he is supposed to be physically imposing. I heard his hands are so bad he could barely hold a prop firearm on the set of Red.

You gotta see Street Smart, man. He's terrifying in that. I wish he still took chances like that, but the last 15 years of his career have been incredibly bland.

I'm so glad "inspired" isn't really a thing, because the second I see Arnold Schwarzenegger on a Phillip K Dick cover I'll drown myself in a puddle.

Y'know, the game wasn't bad, either as a game or an adaption of the Inferno.

But good lord why would you pick the Longfellow translation for the tie-in? It's as stuffed-shirt overwrought as it can possibly be.

I suspect because it was public domain, and hence more money was to be made than if they tried to pursue e.g. the Esolen translation.

Eh, as long as the text itself isn't changed, I don't really have much of a problem with tie-in book covers. Drop the "Bella and Edward" crap, and those Wuthering Heights covers wouldn't be that bad.

And let's be honest here, most reprints of classic books have terrible covers, the last one that I've looked at and thought "hey, that's pretty cool" was Penguin's most recent reprint of 1984.

Exactly this. He received his first Academy Award nomination for that role, and he was a stone cold scary motherfucker in that.

I don't have anything against Stephanie Meyer. She's made billions of dollars off the literary ignorance of millions of tween girls and morbidly obese housewives. Who cares if her books read like Manos: The Hands of Fate: The Book? More power to her.

I'm sure she knows her books suck, but hey, if I were that rich, I wouldn't care what reviewers and critics said. A fool and their money are soon parted.

Perhaps it's in the nature of television. Just waves in space.
Just a forewarning: Do NOT watch Dante's Inferno. It is absolute poo poo. Each level of hell changes the animation style, and they are all hideously ugly, the writing is absolute garbage, and just everything about it is bad.
I watched it while I had a fever and still knew that it was poo poo. Don't waste your time on it.
