Yeah, 98 overs per day until the end. Essentially, additional chance of rain aside, a whole session will be regained over 4 days.

Sehwag dropped for 3rd and 4th test. He was dropped from ODIs earlier. Don't really see him making a comeback after this. He's been woefully out of form for 2 years. Call him what you will, but there aren't too many people around who can score 300 in a day

Do you have a link? If this is true, that's wonderful news. Sehwag is the epitome of the "Maharaja" who's in because of politics, populism and reputation. Can't field, too fat to run between the wicket, and holding back better players who would be playing in any normal cricketing country. BCCI poo poo-heads aside, I wish India well, and glad to see them heading in the right direction. One down, Harbajahn, Tendulkar and Dhoni to go. Kohli for captain and they might even be likeable.

I think England are just being very thoughtful, allowing the minnows to enjoy some of the glory for a change.

What a spectacular summer for pathetic cricket. Who can forget Bell's golden duck? SA's 5 runouts? Phil Hughes...? And now there is this. What will the rest of the year bring? :frogbon:

Can somebody explain to me why England folding up in the First Test of an away series is even surprising any more? This was mostly pathetic because of how inevitable it was.

Mainly because they were bowled out by one of the worst bowling attacks ever fielded on a road.

I don't think racking up 1-517 counts as "folding up".

You apparently missed losing 6 wickets for 63 runs (on a pitch they subsequently scored 517-1 on...) in the first innings.

Possibly. I haven't seen much of them. If you were to make a team from a combined AUS/NZ squad who would be in it?

That's not really uncommon, half of those 6 wickets were bowlers anyway.
