Not necessarily. That was a Milius pose before it was a Sobchak pose. He's very fond of having his picture taken with a gun in his outstretched arm.

Yes I know. I'm saying they picked that picture because it evokes Sobchak. There's a lot of other ones they could've gone with.

I wish your average episode had had shots like that.

Also, can never not notice the textures they forgot to put on the bottom of the ship for the opening credits and then never fixed.

I think the Alien franchise is the only series where space lifeboats weren't like literal lifeboats, they were hibernation pods because you're going to waiting a long, loooonnng time for rescue. And, in Ripley's case, if they haven't completely forgotten about you.

"There are six shots in the opening title sequence, three of them had the CG ship that we built; the other three have the practical model. The three that had the CG ship were the one where it goes by the sun, the one where it goes through the smoky, particle stuff, and the last one, where it jumps to warp.(...)We always use beta software [rem: meant is a new version of Lightwave which at the time was available on two different computer systems}, which means there tend to be some bugs. As we were modeling Voyager, some of it was being done in the Amiga version; some was being done on the SGI version. If you transferred the model between the different systems, the textures–effectively the paint on the ship–would get lost. That happens in the final shot where the belly tips up toward us and Voyager goes to warp.
"It's something you don't really pick out unless you know it's there, but if you look at the bottom of the ship there are these three darker patches that aren't supposed to be there-it's where there are some ports and hull plating. That made it into the title sequence. Nobody said anything, and we never mentioned it!" (Star Trek: The Magazine Volume 3, Issue 3, p. 112)

There's a pic on the page as well.

The two black squares on the bottom of the ship aren't meant to be there; they forgot to apply the textures for some hatches.

It's pretty minor, to be honest. Nowhere near as bad as the terrible mesh errors in the LOST intertitle. Those just pissed me off. (I'd post an example of that but I can't find a version of the title above 240p. Just look at the S next time it's on TV as it goes past the camera)

I quite liked that, actually. It looks like the logo kind of over-focuses. Like it goes from blurry to regular to TOO sharp. I gave up on Lost in like season 2 so I'm not sure how that ties into the show, but to me it indicates like a Lovecraftian "man was not meant to know" universe view. Like looking too closely at that logo, the flawed underlying reality of it is revealed. I always kind of thought that's what was going on with the weird goings on on that island - it's like a mesh error in the world.
