Anyone know that episode and timestamp, I think it's somewhere around 90-105, for the bit where Seth goes off about the latest Transformers movie and comes up with all the funny stupid names for the characters like Bumbledorf and stuff? Reading through the last couple lovely pages of this thread reminded me of that bit, and I'm dying to hear it again. If I recall correctly, he comes up with quite a few funny names off the cuff and makes Jonathan crack up pretty hard. So many good bits and small moments in UYD, it's impossible to remember them all let alone keep track of where they happen. I'd have to have a notepad open every second I'm listening to make notes of all the best bits I'd like to revisit without having to do another whole listen through of the entire catalog.

It's pretty simple to make YouTube clips of funny segments. Hell, I use the stupid Windows movie maker and it takes ten minutes tops. I highly suggest doing it once in awhile . You get good clips to send to people to get them to listen, plus you can remember when and where they came from. I will start making them again once this drat thesis gets written. I've got six uploaded on my channel already (username is the same as here)

TACD posted:And then you'd feel stupid when you found out this has already been done. I know about the "Wiki", but it doesn't exactly list every single aspect of every discussion. Sometimes a general overview of what they talk about from 20 to 30 minutes doesn't give enough information to know whether or not it's exactly the bit you are looking for. Plus it's not easily searchable. For example, if I wanted to relive my latest favorite moment "Zzzzgook. Zzzzchink", which lasted all of 15 seconds, and that's all I had to go by, there is no way I could easily find through that database. Not to slag it off, it's a wonderful resource. What I'm asking for is pretty much impossible without a super pro comprehensive wiki with full transcripts, hence the whole notepad writing down my favorite moments myself. Now that I'm caught up with the back catalog and listening to new eps as they happen, there's something weird that I have to ask about. On the RSS feed it says the latest one was posted on April 4th, but it only showed up for me today, and I've been regularly checking for a new one. Same with the update on the website, that also only just showed up for me. This happens every time a new one comes out. Is this normal or do I exist in some UYD time hole? Everything else seems to be working okay vvvvvv I see, thanks. Although it wouldn't kill Jonathan to be quicker on the upload. flesh dance fucked around with this message at 23:31 on Apr 10, 2013 |

The story in 367 about that new prison in the Midwest is one of the funniest things I've heard on the show lately. America is so hosed.

My favorite part of that screencap is how the YouTube thumbnail is the censored-for-TV naked dude charging into the house in full boner rage, looking for the girl and her cat. Even Mock Turtleneck was particularly disgusted. "Blowing your cat?! What happened to a single red rose and a half-empty bottle of Bacardi Sour Apple, two straws?"

I love how Seth always points out Active Shooter Situations, and likes to point out the acronym rear end. It's cracked me up every time. His "taking it down to brass tacks, nuts and bolts", and "living, laughing, loving, in Los Angeles" things always get me.

It's funny how the topics will loop around some times. I'm listening to shows in the 280's and catching all the current ones, and somewhere around there Jonathan was also telling a story about the His Holiness the Dalai Lama. I would love to hear more about his time with Richard Geere, Leonard Cohen, and Steven Segall for three, eight-hour days with only a bowl of brown rice and some serious meditation. I'm assuming that was during his sobriety years, so that must have been a real treat.

In episode 105 (I believe) Seth mentions Jason Alexander's McDonalds commercial in 1985 for the "McDLT". Here it is in all it's glory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTSdUOC8Kac Just fantastic. Surprisingly, one of the youtube comments for this video is pretty loving hilarious if you ever watched seinfeld much and have George Costanza's voice and mannerisms ingrained into your brain. quote:"My hot's all cool and my cool's all hot, Jerry!" Also, cheese on the cool side . Just unforgivable. On a semi-related note, it's a shame that Jonathan never really watches any of the shows or YouTube videos Seth mentions. So many times Seth drops some funny video like this one and Jonathan has nothing to add cause he didn't do his pre pro. It'd be nice to get his reactions to this poo poo more often, so it doesn't end up like it mostly does with Seth recommending a video and describing to Jonathan and then just quickly moving on.
