Flipswitch posted:My only query is Avatar with Feora. I never got much play out of him with her as I felt I was missing something major with Escort. Would a second Reckoner or Templar not function better? I'm a sucker for taking Avatar with Harbinger though. Yeah, there's the skornergy with him and Escort, but I feel like the big benefit he brings over a second Reckoner/Templar is the focus generation. as a 6 Focus caster who is upkeeping 1 spell every round, she needs as many focus efficient jacks as possible. The Templar and the Reckoner both are focus hogs when they need to get something done so I'm not sure she could support 3 focus hungry jacks. The Avatar gives her another high-armor, high-mat and incredibly strong beatstick, especially if you put Ignite on him, all the while requiring zero focus from Feora. One thing I might consider is dropping the Reckoner for a Vanquisher because it is more focus efficient than the Reckoner and helps with infantry clearing, but the Reckoner is such a useful piece I don't think I can do it.

Not to mention it's also the fire template to help mauler squads of troops. Pre-Judicator I ran Feora with 4 Heavies and a light personally. I can definitely see how the list works though, you've got two high power ranged attacks to muller heavies over and the Templar and Avatar can lord over the melee side of the table. I'd say give it a few tests buddy and see how it goes. I won't comment on the Harbie list as we all know it works. I agree on the Reckoner too, he provides so much stuff outside of the beat stick potential he's so hard to leave in the carry case.

Yeah as soon as I have my Judicator painted and sealed that list is getting re-done, but that won't be by this weekend, or the summer for that matter.

I can't remember how to list build. This seems pretty bad, but it's a start? Points: 50/50 Krueger the Stormlord (*5pts) * Gorax (4pts) * Warpwolf Stalker (10pts) * Warpwolf Stalker (10pts) Druids of Orboros (Leader and 5 Grunts) (7pts) * Druid of Orboros Overseer (2pts) Shifting Stones (2pts) * Stone keeper (1pts) Shifting Stones (2pts) Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew (Leader and 1 Grunt) (1pts) Tharn Wolfriders (Leader and 4 Grunts) (10pts) Blackclad Wayfarer (2pts) Druid Wilder (2pts) Gallows Grove (1pts) Gallows Grove (1pts)

Very quick question here: are there any situations where it isn't a good idea to use a Spriggan in a Khador list? They just seem like incredibly useful all-rounders. Just like to get the consensus here before ordering. Additionally, is there any point magnetizing the kit - as in, will I ever really want to use the other variants?

Casters that can Full Throttle or such might have cheaper options, so you might not take him. But Spriggan is Irusk's best buddy. I use a Devastator sometimes. Not very often. Usually as a roadblock in a capture-objective game. Plastic spriggan sucks anyways, buy a metal one!

Just like to get the consensus here before ordering. The Spriggan is awesome. I use the Devastator in my pButcher list. I like the ARM 25 to hold scenarios, and it is amazing at clearing infantry from a zone. I've even used it to assassinate casters who move up to Dominate a zone. It isn't usually going to be the MVP of the game, but it also doesn't require much to do its job, and do it well.

Just like to get the consensus here before ordering. I am going to buy either two plastic spriggan/clam kits or a clam kit and metal Spriggan. (I buy models pretty infrequently, so don't take the fact I don't own either already as a bad thing--I've had Khador since late 2011 but I only own two jacks, not counting Conquest and Scrapjack, and three casters.) I haven't played enough Khador at 50 points to speak from experience, but if I'm going to have two jacks--and with the SR2013 scenarios and Specialists, two jacks at 50 is seeming more and more like a good idea--I want my second jack to be focus-efficient. Devastator and Demolisher fit the bill perfectly (Demolisher especially with Old Witch). I like Kodiak if I really need that one point elsewhere, and if I have an extra point I think Spriggan is never a bad decision, but the clamjacks are really obnoxious and I like them. If you are only going to own one Khador jack it should be Spriggan. That's probably the easiest way to put it. It won't go in every list, but if you can only own one, that's the one you should own. !amicable posted:I can't remember how to list build. This seems pretty bad, but it's a start? Friendly advice: the list looks fine, but while you're getting recalibrated, go back to Kromac. You've got all that muscle memory just waiting for a stretch. That eKrueger list is good to go for a tournament setting. If I had characters free I'd put characters into it, though. Sulecrist fucked around with this message at 15:09 on Apr 11, 2013 |

And use its grenade launcher flares to light up Banes and nasty utility solos and whatever else gets too close so that your Widowmakers/Rifle Corps/etc can take them down. If you have Superiority or Infernal Machine, you'd be surprised by how far it'll go, and if your opponent chooses to keep Gorman/Eiryss/etc out of that bubble entirely, so much the better.

I wish I had a dollar for every time my Spriggan has utilized bulldoze for a caster kill. pVlad turns the Spriggan into a guided missile of death. Feat + S&P + Boundless Charge + One focus is a dead any caster ever. And it sure is cute that you put your heavy in the way - let me just set my lane slightly to the side and move you two inches out of my way.

Bulldoze is very powerful. Spriggan an amazing Khador jack. I started with only a Spriggan. That being said, I think its super useful to get the hang of the juggernaught and devestator; they are very simple but very powerful. Also, they are cheap. I'm leaning much further towards two cheap jacks over one expensive jacks in my Khador lists. pButcher+devestators for instance. As far as Kromac, you're probably right. I actually never got a hang of druids or eKrueger though. Which characters would you take with him? All that seems to fit is Ghetorix, unless you are also suggesting I get him a warden/Megalith for geomancy. Krueger is hard to build because he is really just a gently caress you delivery device, but you need to both keep him safe and provide him with something deadly to apply pressure. Anyway, I'm not sure I want to do anything but spam tk and push super far forward. That's basically the "plan". EnjoiThePureTrip posted:They've released photos of the CoC multi-legged heavy jack kit. Pictures of the battle box and army book are up, too. !amicable, with eKrueger I like Nuala + Bloodtrackers if the character is free, since with Inspiration I don't feel like I'm missing out without a Witch Doctor and since they do a good job clearing and killing and jamming and everything else. I do a lot with them. I also take Megalith. However, since you have Druids, I don't feel like Megalith or Bloodtrackers are quite as necessary--you'll be a little safer defensively against most factions and have that push/pull if you need it. Not quite as good as free double-boosted Gallows, but certainly nice. I don't think you're really losing anything by taking that list, but here's what I run in my two-lister: eKrueger 50+5 (+10) (Specialists--if this isn't Specialists, I drop one of the 11-point beasts and add a Gallows Grove.) Megalith - 11 Ghetorix - 11 Stalker - 10 Gorax - 4 Wilder - 2 Stones w/ Keeper - 3 Stones - 2 Bloodtrackers w/ Nuala - 10 Fulcrum - 9 Blackclad - 2 Gallows Grove - 1 As you can see, it's fairly close to yours, except I have Fulcrum instead of Druids, Bloodtrackers instead of Wolf Riders, and a character heavy instead of Gobbers + second Stalker. (Paper Kaiju, I think the last time we played I was down a Gallows Grove. You coming to AE tonight?) Sulecrist fucked around with this message at 20:51 on Apr 11, 2013 |

Since you mention pBaldur ... I'm thinking about when this Journeyman league I'm in scales up to 25 points and what to add. So far I thought either: Baldur the Stonecleaver (*6pts) * Woldwatcher (5pts) * Woldguardian (9pts) * Woldwarden (9pts) Shifting Stones (2pts) * Stone keeper (1pts) Tharn Bloodtrackers (Leader and 5 Grunts) (5pts) or Baldur the Stonecleaver (*6pts) * Woldguardian (9pts) * Woldwarden (9pts) Shifting Stones (2pts) * Stone keeper (1pts) Stoneward and 5 Woldstalkers (5pts) Tharn Bloodtrackers (Leader and 5 Grunts) (5pts) So far I have really felt a lack of shootin' in the battlebox games so I want to get in some kind of ranged threat and I like the idea of adding the Bloodtrackers because a) I love my Bloodtrackers and b) I'd love to get something fast on the board.
