Y'all sick of politics yet? I have some fun news. My sister, who is a lovely if slightly needy person, showed up in the last Facebook thread for her endlessly indecipherable passive-aggressive FB posts. Well, Friday she announced her engagement to a man she really loves. ...I was just there in December, and there was no mention of any man. I don't think she even met this guy until January at the earliest. I remember some vague stuff about a boyfriend early in the year, then sometime around February she was passive-aggressively posting about some guy dumping her, then she got back together with him and now she's engaged, and has been for two weeks. So, if we do our FB stalking and our math correctly, they got back together sometime around Valentine's Day, got engaged at the beginning of April...six weeks to an engagement? Say what now? Oh, and she's 37 with two kids. I can't WAIT to see how this one turns out. I haven't even congratulated her yet because when I do I want to be sincere about it, and I'm not there yet. ...This is the same sister who constantly posts someecards about how fat girls are better than thin girls and if you're not tattooed from head to foot it means you're boring and uncreative. I've told her repeatedly that as a thin, non-tattooed girl this hurts my feelings and if I'd posted about how gross fat tattooed people are it would hurt her feelings, but apparently it's "not the same thing." I love my sister, but goddamn. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

I had to finally unfriend someone on Facebook after she decided to make it known that she hated the marriage equality vote going on, changed her avatar to a picture of a male and female symbol just to get her point across (since there were all those people with the red "=" sign avatars) and then said "I am praying for this" along with "The Bible says marriage is between a man and a woman!!" I forgot to take a screenshot of it since the old thread died before I could.

My friend's boyfriend has always posted all sorts of pro-marijuana crap. (I'm not anti-pot, I think it should be legalized, but don't spew garbage science and expect people to believe that marijuana cures absolutely everything.) He recently started posting about GM food, and now fluoride. This was his first fluoride post and I wasn't sure if was a joke or not. I was browsing my FB message inbox, in the "others" part when I noticed I had received messages from someone I don't know in last September. I nearly peed myself after reading them. I barely know that Runescape is a game. And I'm still breathing, guess it's a longer way from Estonia to Finland than I recalled since he hasn't arrived yet. With what I can only assume are other Runescape wizards.

I feel so lucky that everyone I associate with has done nothing but pour out positive thoughts/prayers/love for the victims, their families, witnesses, responders, and anyone else affected by Boston today. Not a single rude or racist remark. Except for a few people reposting poo poo like Alex Jones and that Fox News dude who tweeted that all Muslims should die, just to call them out on how horrible those people are
