It said he was the last to accomplish this alone in 1992 so I was thinking it might have been cold fusion at first. After remembering those physicists were from Utah and could not repeat that task I went to Nobel Prize.

And her stalling on Daily Doubles "oh my gosh.... yikes.... umm......" left like 6 unrevealed clues on the board. I strongly dislike her.

Also, Benazir Bhutto was an easy answer to the question tonight. Also, being a TV IV nerd, I got every single question in the Emmy category right. Nobody got Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin.

And as a Bret Easton Ellis fan, I can't believe no one got American Psycho.

Well, they use "American" in quotations to give it a hint, and even indicate it's part of the title. They use this a lot. Psycho is a different book.

I loved when somebody buzzed in and said "Werewolf"

Bret Easton Ellis didn't want this "American" story adapted to the screen because it had an unreliable narrator.

And nobody got it.

First lady buzzed in with: "Psycho"
Second lady buzzed in with: "Werewolf"

They're notably not provinces though, it's an important distinction.

I really want to know how the guy on the left spent 30 seconds thinking and came up with 38 or whatever for his answer.

My guess was 28. Obviously, 91-50 = 41, I figured Canada had 13 provinces... but I'm not up on my Canadian geography.

I don't remember the question, but if it was about her Best Actress nomination then it was for Aliens, which was around 86 or so.

Her nomination in 1987 was the first Best Actress nomination for a science fiction film.

I was only off by one, which was better than I expected.

Still kicking myself for guessing Jodie Foster for the final, though. I thought Aliens was much earlier than 1987 for some reason. It's also not quite accurate to say that it "spawned a great series" when pretty much everything with xenomorphs in it beyond the first two movies is crap.

Yeah, they definitely did. The one dude went from challenger to champion, and the clue changed from US Government before the commercial break to TV Spin-Offs after the commercial break  And Alex said "you'll close out the week tomorrow"... but tomorrow is Thursday, not Friday.

The worst part is that she was a challenger, so that was the top story she had available. I can't imagine how sad it would be if she ended up as a champion for a few days.

If my story was that bad, I'd probably just make something up.
