I'm pretty sure he made more money from his radio show than he ever did at Fox. His audience has definitely narrowed since his Fox days, but they're the true believers willing to fund his Deseret survival shelter/coke vault shenanigans. How is it that Ben Shapiro, the guy that fell hook, line, and sinker for the "Friends of Hamas" joke, still has a job? Oh that's right, he's writing for breibart.com. No need for actual integrity or competence there!

Anti-intellectual. Anti-science. Feels 'certain elements' of society are actively plotting its downfall. Pro-book burning. Pro-mysticism. Yep it's the liberal socialists that are the nazi's, folks.

Oh, Shapiro, so close to the real point. While it shouldn't matter that Collins is gay, unfortunately, it actually does. And that, the fact that it does matter when it shouldn't, is the real story. Let's face it: It would be awesome if we could take what Shapiro said at face value, that "He's gay? Who cares; judge a basketball player by his ability to play basketball, not his sexual orientation." Ultimately, that's the point, isn't it? But unfortunately, the country (and a good part of the world) isn't at that point, yet. I guess Shapiro is just ahead of his time.

I dunno about awful, I'd call him painfully average most all the way through. You know what isn't painfully average though? Being the first male athlete in major American sports to come out! But yea, I can totes see how it'd be confusing why he's being praised for bravery, thanks Bretbart dude! It's like he legitimately has no idea why anyone would attach social significance to it.

Was listening to Rush today out of the same morbid curiosity that draws us all in, and he was going off on the Dutch social psychologist or something faking his results so there's proof all science is bunk. It was kinda funny how everything he accused the so-called "left" of doing "brainwashing, promoting ideology over everything else, indoctrinating children through education, etc." was exactly what Republicans/conservatives do. I'm sure there's a name for accusing your supposed enemies of doing exactly what you really do everyday.

Ron Paul is a whiny moron. Ron Paul slams Boston 'occupation' quote:Paul said the scenes of the house-to-house search for the younger bombing suspect in suburban Watertown, Mass., were reminiscent of a “military coup in a far off banana republic.” Yes, that's exactly what it was like, Ron. This whole issue/meme about "Obamaphones" really drives me to distraction and is a perfect example of the effectiveness of right wing messaging. I hear it repeated constantly and I bet if you took a poll, less than half would know it was a program started under Reagan and continued by G.W. Bush. It's petty, childish and intellectually dishonest. In other words, it's the epitome of right wing media and the way they report.

I go out of my way to say Affordable Care Act.

People just call them that for clarity sake. People call it Obamacare to create a negative gut reaction in people who don't like Obama because it's easier than explaining why they dislike the program (mostly because it was enacted by Obama). A better comparison would be Reaganomics, although in that case it began as a folksy way to sell the idea and continues to be used to create a positive connotation for people who deify Reagan. And it is dumb as hell.

I explained that to my conservative co-workers who laughed themselves silly at the "Obamaphone" video and pointed it out to EVERYONE in the office as proof that Obama was a reverse racist trying to give tax money to lazy (black) people whatever way he could. They handwaved it by saying Obama made it so much worse than it ever was. You cannot explain things or use logic to these people.

He brought some lady on who claimed that college guys hook up with women not because they want to, but because social pressure forces them to hook up and then brag about it for street cred. She then said that college students as a whole hate "hookup culture" but are pressured into it to appear cool and that really they all want monogamous marriage .

There's some truth to societal peer pressure on hookups, but that's more of a lad culture and "women are objects" problem. There are plenty of people who dislike hookup culture but I don't think those people usually go on to participate in it out of obligation.
