To get this all settled once and for all, i've e-mailed asking for the paint code from inside the door. Once they get back to me we should have an answer. I swear i've seen a SHO like that a few times before, so assumed it was legit, but it might have actually been that very car.

It might have been offered after that, but I remember seeing quite a few of them back in the 90's. Really cool color, as it looked almost black in low light. edit It looks like they brought it back for 2004. Interesting.

I've seen at least one mustang with that paint. There's also a bone stock first gen neon around here with that. I didn't realize the mustangs were that rare though. A friend from high school had a windstar with the chameleon paint. poo poo was awesome. It got stolen (but found later in the parking lot of a bowling alley).
