Ryuushika 39 Are Japanese carrots more bitter than other kinds? It seems they're often the vegetable to pick on in anime/manga, as opposed to like broccoli or whatever.

Blhue posted:And chapter 5 already. I really liked this chapter, a lot more than the last two. Just seeing how the world of the ...eerie supernatural intersects with the ordinary. I want to see more stuff like that! I've always felt that stories with supernatural things like witches and the sort are much improved by having just some stuff just be "there".

Big respect to the translator for capturing the 'there-are-some-words-in-there-I-recognize-but-what-in-the-unholy-gently caress' essence of Tsugaru-ben in chapter 3.

I like seeing some actual magic. Also, it was cool how her older sister went away with a magic circle. There wasn't any flashes of light or smoke or anything, one moment she was there, the other she was gone. I love that subdued yet undeniably magical approach- it just feels more like authentic magic.

Chapters 8-11 of our favorite manga about donut-shaped cats! The name apparently is supposed to be "Donuts" according to Kissmanga! Donyatsu -> Do - Nyatsu -> Do-Nyats -> Donuts! Except with a "Nya" because they are cats. I can't believe I didn't realize that earlier.

DrSunshine posted:Macaroon. "Kuma" means "bear". Hence: Bearcaroon. Oh haha I thought he was a bear claw. On a more serious note, I'm getting a huge EVA vibe from that giant robot. But I liked how, even in the middle of this sci-fi craziness, the strange dark energy-being is a cat with a doughnut-shaped body. That gets annoyed with another cat-donut when it doesn't understand him. Whatever happens, it is still going to be very silly.
