Kalli posted:I think the needed tons of work to adapt to the NFL combined with ending up on two teams in utter turmoil / trainwreck situations kinda answers that. Basically. I was doing a game-by-game analysis and exploring the rest of the roster but what it really boils down to is he got shoved into a starting role for the last three games of his rookie season and looked decent enough to where his coach pulled Kyle Orton and shoved Tebow out there at 1-4, and Tebow responded by transubstantiating 7 wins, which kind of ruined his chances of being able to take it slow until he was ready.

It truly is amazing to me that Gruden is sitting in a dingy strip mall somewhere watching tape for 14 hours a day to explain to television viewers that "that guy, right there, that guy's a football player."

Have you ever listened to someone who is so smart they sounds insane and or stupid? I think Gruden is suffering from some weird information overload so that he spits out gibberish instead of the million thoughts he just processed. Plus American football viewers are stupid.

There I removed that comma that it decided was part of the URL for some reason and now the grammar is all messed up and I'll always be upset because of it. Kind of interesting that a writer for a terrible genre (sports journalism) picks what is arguably Arthur C. Clarke's weakest (and certainly his most self-indulgent) work to reference. Not quite Salinger or Kurzweil levels of I-think-you-typed-this-with-one-hand, but close to it.

I was just listening to some of Rich Eisen's podcasts from the playoff weeks this year and for the divisional weekend show he has none other than Peter King on to discuss that magnificent example of football. Its very painful to hear Eisen use his great skills as an interviewer to accentuate all of Peter King's douchery. Rich know just the right questions to ask in order to set off an avalanche of bullshit about King's behind the scenes access or sense of "history" of the game. Its like Van Gogh painting a still life of tubgirl.

So apparently, noted shithead Angelo Cataldi (the guy who organized a bus full of fans to go and boo as he got drafted by the Eagles) is now trying to drum up support to get another boo fest going for 's retirement ceremony when it's held at half time during a home game this year. I want to show up anytime Cataldi steps foot in public and boo him constantly.
