It's refreshing to see a total throwback to 70's era, working class "cool" that isn't a Tarantino wankfest. And this is coming from somebody who's loved every Tarantino movie he's ever seen.

Honestly, it still weirds me out every time I see a movie that inhabits an era like the 70s and goes for a realist vibe and yet is so obviously shot on digital.

No seriously, why does it look like he's wearing BSDM gear and why is his hair so goddamn blurry?

Someone mentioned in an interview, I think it was Michael Shannon, that the suit was meant to look metallic, like skin-tight armour. A literal "man of steel".

The 70's didn't actually have film grain on them, so it's actually more realistic to shoot on digital.

The only positive thing I can say about these posters is that the artwork is competent. For the most part they just look like 95% of every single poster Mondo has ever released.

It kind of looks like they attempted to photoshop the poster into a real world Where's Waldo picture. It has 800 different whacky things going on and every time you look through it you notice a new thing. In fact if the movie was more along the lines of non stop weird poo poo all happening at once in every scene that would make me go see it. They hosed up by not making the movie exactly like this godawful monstrosity of a poster.
