Pics of a Girls und Panzer event that was recently held in Ooarai. Highlights include the aforementioned tank shell plushies (which reportedly sold really well) and an adorable little Hetzer for the kids to play with. It looks like it moves around, and reportedly it made realistic firing sounds.

The tiniest Hetzer. I will unashamedely admit that I want one those plush shells. Well that and the doujin that comes with it because it apparently has art by Rei Hiroe amongst others in it.

Do Drama CDs ever get fan translations? Also, is the Anzio OVA going to be on the sixth Blu-Ray, or on a standalone disc? This is the title listed for the OVA on the 6th Blu-Ray, but I can't read it: ・OVA第6話「エンカイ・ウォー!」 The Monkey Man fucked around with this message at 12:52 on May 10, 2013 |

I just love how the promo image for the backpack is the sterotypical japanese nerd. Plaid shirt tucked in, khakis. Not shown: headband, G-shock watch and new balance shoes. They know who is buying it. Where can I still buy it if at all? Amiami had it up briefly today but its sold out now It looks pretty similar to other tactical backpacks. Do you think its a unique pattern or just another preexisting item with a GuP logo slapped on like the Platz models? This one looks similar but the GuP version looks sleeker and much less military Fauxtool fucked around with this message at 05:10 on May 11, 2013 |

Artificer posted:Do anime fans often feel like "they were betrayed?" Is this a thing common to anime? What are some examples? Most of the things that immediately come to mind are anime-original endings in adaptations of manga. There was also the homophobic reaction to the eighth episode of From the New World, which ties into Endorph's post. I can't think of many actual examples of the shocking-twist-that-undermines-everything-that-came-before in anime. There's a famous genuine example in a manga, though (the ending of Usagi Drop). There's also a subset of the fandom for any reasonably popular shonen manga that gets furious over any plot twist they didn't predict.
