I'm not sure how but I managed to download a free version of Wrestling Revolution on a friends iPad. It had advertisements and the roster/exhibition mode all opened up. On a different iPad though I can't seem to find it, I only get the locked free versions and the paid ones. Do different apps show up based on what iPad you are using? (older vs newer)

The pre-booking feature is a godsend when you're trying to run extended feuds since you can plot out an entire storyline buildup at once and then just pop in the relevant match or angle for that show with two clicks, and easily add or change stuff as the situation warrants. It's a lot less mentally fatiguing than keeping a .txt file of everything you're trying to have going on and then booking it all the night of the show like earlier games.

Man, when they said you could just sim matches in Fire Pro and watch and be entertained, they weren't kidding. I just got done watching an amazing Hell No/CM Punk and Colt Cabana match that ended literally a minute from the time limit when Kane got the 3 count right as Punk was getting back in the ring. This game owns(FP2 for GBA, I wish I had a PS3 for the Returns port).

Question about WWE '13: I've always enjoyed wrestling the Arn Anderson style where you pick a limb and destroy it. Is that something you can do? Does it make a difference when you slap on a submission hold that you've destroyed a limb?

I just had a match in Fire Pro Returns of Norman Smiley vs. Japanese Kickboxer Musashi end in a 60min time limit draw after Smiley got the blood kicked and punched out of his skull and wouldn't get Criticaled. I decided to have a rematch and Norman Smiley was way more aggressive and instantly busted open Musashi. Now Smiley was still getting dominated but eventually at 46min and 15sec Smiley won with a Release German Suplex.

I just simmed a 52 minute elimination 4-Way between Great Sasuke, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, and David Arquette where Punk and Arquette got eliminated 20 minutes in, but since the GBA Fire Pro 2 doesn't have people actually leave when eliminated, they stayed around repeatedly trying to get pinfalls. Arquette was busted open for the last 15 minutes or so, and the match basically became a desperate rush between Rey and Sasuke to try getting pinfall attempts while Punk and Arquette were busy. It was amazing.

A character's head, torso, arms and legs all have different hit point amounts that can be adjusted, so you can use a bit of strategy. Also working the head makes them more vulnerable to being stunned by hard strikes, working the arms makes their submissions less powerful and working the legs cuts their movement speed pretty noticeably. I always did think it's a bit odd how the game lets you target the right and left arms seperately but treats both legs as a single thing.

What wrestling game has had the best ladder match option? The current WWE games have awful ladder matches where you can spend 30 minutes slamming a guy in the head with a chair, then powerbomb him off the top of the ladder through a table and he'll still pop right back up in 2 seconds, run at full sprint, and push you off a ladder if you set it up. Even though the THQ/AKI games still had a pretty arcade-y ladder match, occasionally a guy would get so beaten up that he would pass out and couldn't knock the other guy off the ladder. The matches are still fun with friends, but I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a ladder match in single player in a WWE game.

the Mdickie games have pretty insane ladder matches. I kinda wanna dick around with the engine to see if you can tweak the probability of limbs flying off and make them persistent.
