Got it. You're going to have to change your pawn to ranger or strider before I can equip her with the daggers. Send me a message on PSN whenever she's ready / has been updated in the rift.

To actually answer the question I think its possible for one to be flying around outside Gran Soren, one near Hillfigure Knoll, and one way in the south by the thieve's fort. The only one you are really guaranteed a fight with is the one for the quest that sends you to the Bluemoon Tower.

Whoops forgot about that, sorry! I was afk farming DP, she should be set now.

^Hahaha, thats pretty great. I can never find them after they fly off, I saw somewhere you are actually supposed to chase them but that never seems to pan out. It's pretty lame when they run even when you burn there wings off, I was so mad when the cockatrice ran away too It was less than a bar left!

Return of the Sensei

Sometimes griffins hang around for a bit doing strafing runs, and you can still knock it down. If it completely flies away you're boned, there's no way to find it again. It will respawn after 7 in-game days or so, but it will be at full health again. Try saving before engaging if possible. The only one you can "chase" like that is the scripted quest one for Bluemoon Tower.

That Griffon chase is a really cool part of the story. I haven't actually played the story of DD for a long time, but I remember the first time I did that and there's no other reason in the main quest to go to Bluemoon Tower I don't think. I know there's a sidequest that leads there but if you don't kill the Griffon in time that's the only reason you'll ever head there, which is awesome because it's a great area and they made it really atmospheric as you and the kings men are all charging in to gently caress this bird up.

Of course, the second time through the game I just slaughtered it in a matter of seconds and didn't have to chase it. While I was happy for having killed it I sort of missed having to go to the tower.

Well guys it's been fun but I am done with this game. Level 200, most of the max gear I wanted for me and my pawn and beaten the game twice with most of the trophies. I got my $40 dollars worth out of this game and while there were some things I wish they could have changed, I have extremely high expectations of a sequel. Great game!

Fake edit: I didn't know you could bind death until now. My pawn (Ranger) started doing it every time he spawned and just backed away and started shooting his face. It was awesome, and even his teleport above you didn't work and kept him bounded in the spot she put him in.

God drat this game, wandering around is like doing a boss rush. First some bandits, then goblins with a cyclops, then as soon as it goes down a Chimera literally jumps on my face from off camera, then a dragon chases me a quarter of the way across the continent to my quest marker.

It was awesome.

Doesn't the Salomet quest send you there?

I've never been there yet because I was high level for the quest and between Mystic Knight (me), ranger pawn, and sorcerer hired pawn, that gryphon got hosed up in under a minute.

Yeah, you can't beat the game without doing the Salomet quest. Not going to the tower during the Griffon quest does lock you out of the area where it chases you, but there's nothing there anyway so it's not a big deal.

Deep Down (working title for the thing they showed off at the PS4 press conference) is supposedly set in the Dragon's Dogma world, not sure if it's a direct sequel, but surely they wouldn't have said that if it wasn't going to at least offer some more of the same.

Man it sure does take a lot of DP to buy every skill and augment... 4 more skills for magick archer and I'm done though!

What's a decent way to get something dragon forged if you can't beat the online ur-dragon? Is it even worth it to try and dragonforge if you don't have three stars?

If it's three-starred, killing any dragon-type enemy has a passable chance of dragonforging stuff, though apparently BBI dragon variants have a better chance. You can just murder the crap out of anything appropriate until you succeed.

If what you want to improve isn't three-star improved, the odds are pretty poo poo unless you forge it by killing Grigori or the online ur-dragon.

Offline Ur-Dragon is fairly easy and has an okay chance at dragonforging, though you'll want to 3 star the stuff first. At least you get a poo poo ton of wakestones if luck isn't in your favor. If you're strong enough for BBI round 2, you can kill the dragon bishop for a very high chance at dragonforging, even if your items aren't upgraded at all. You'll need to go to Cassardis and rest for like a week to respawn him though. Summoning cursed dragons with rancid bait meat works nearly as well, and you can do it more often, but they're a bit tougher than the bishop and you'll have to clear out one of the rooms they can spawn in first, which tends to mean fighting other dragons - often two at a time.

I'm running through BBI for the first time right now, I'm just about level 100. Someone gifted me an L3 cursed weapon and I got framae daggers, I don't think I can even get the materials to upgrade it to three stars until the second run of bbi. I was considering doing another NG+ to fight grigori again (and also to not be lazy and have fournival get thrown in jail) to get them dragonforged. Does BBI reset to the first run after a NG+?

BBI resets on every new game.

This game is so weird sometimes, hahaha. I did the quest where you get the letter back from Soulflayer Canyon, but the quest giver seemed kind of wonky, so I wanted to see if I could give the letter to the Duke directly. I find him in his office and run up next to his chair to talk to him. But instead of giving me the speak action it highlights a gather spot centered on his chair. Huh, alright, so I gather. It gives me a tuft of hair. Not just one, but 8 tufts of hair before the gather spot goes away. So now I've got a collection of the Duke's hair.

I also found out that you can super mine with your weapons. If you attack a mining spot it makes the spot barf up all it's ore at once, then you just gotta pick it up. I've been playing warrior all day, so I dunno if it works with other vocations yet.

This is a Warrior only thing. A couple other random things like explosive barrels can powermine too, but otherwise being able to just blast the ore out of the rock with your massive weapon is one of the small pleasures of being a Warrior.

Holy gently caress that last boss fight was sick as hell, and immediately I get thrown into the Everfall and have to fight a goddamn Beholder which stones two of my pawns instantly. The real Dragon's Dogma starts here.

Should I be doing Everfall or BBI at this point? I'm level 48ish, spent most of my time as a Fighter/MK but just discovered my love for the MA class. I'm guessing these weapons I got from finishing the storyline are better than the dragon forged ones I have now? The stat jump as fuckin huge.
