I just realized that with the 3DS eshop and all, getting a new GCCX game in NA and EU isnt all that impossible. Assuming that the game is another compilation, selling us each game for a few bucks sounds like less of a risk than releasing the game as a whole. They did exactly the same thing with Guild 01 and it seemed to work fine.

If G.REV is behind the new game, count me as sold on it from the outset. They've had a good track record and a few of their games did make it here (Strania, Under Defeat, Senko no Ronde/Wartech and Mamoru-kun, also Kokuga has been rumored to have a US/EU release upcoming) so it could stand a chance, plus there's the fact that GCCX is a bit more popular. I'd love to see what's in it first though.

The chances of us actually getting this one are significantly higher, since it can be released as an eShop exclusive and thus cut waaaaaaaaaay down on the financial risk of selling the game.

All of them are shmups. Senko no Ronde/Wartech was a fighting game, but most of their output is shmups. They're composed of ex-Taito people, if I remember right.

Didn't most of the financial burden for the last release come from acquiring the licenses more than anything else? I can't imagine Namco or whoever is gonna charge any less this time around. Even if it was the same developer there's no guarantee it would be a collection of faux-retro games. It could be a quiz game for all we know. I'm waiting for an EU announcement before getting excited about anything remotely 3DS related. Bravely Default  Glad to see GCCX keep going from strength to strength, though my ultimate GCCX dream is to see Arino show up in a 24 hour Batsu game on Gaki.
