My Sam died . I never really used her that much so I decided to try her. She started with a baton and a shotgun. The shotgun was awesome, I was just rolling around shot gunning everything and taking down infestations. Then I "started" a mission to find a missing dick, but it was next to a new infestation. Sam was already low on HP so I tried swapping her and I loving couldn't. I was stuck on her with a tiny sliver of HP. She died as she lived; running to a car.

Moving bases made the Lily Memento quest disappear for me despite it only just recently being made available. Anyone know if you can research the greenhouse upgrade at the library, build the greenhouse and then destroy the library to make room for something else? Also any tips on finding ammo supplies? I exhausted the obvious sources like police stations and gun shops and Lily only seems to find single units in random houses for me.

If you upgrade your watchtower or build a dojo, you should be swimming in offers to train outsiders in exchange for ammo. There are also those trade missions, but they don't happen nearly often enough. Also, the town in the northwest is totally drowning in ammo resources if you haven't been there yet.

I think I've had a workshop for 4 irl days and my cars never seem to be getting repaired. I have about ten of them and they're all on black smoke. Is it because I don't have some mechanic/workshop master?

If you're having trouble with ammunition, just put an outpost on a building that has a stockpile of it (DON'T TAKE ANY OF IT!). Every IRL day (until the patch) outpost sent resource to your home based on the resources it's sitting on, they also have a chance of spawning loot events for you; just recently my outpost at a pharmacy deposited something around 20 varies painkillers into my loot locker. The game says it does this until the resources are used up, but it's been three day my outposts are still sending me stuff.

I need a survivor who has a green thumb, a doctor, and a proper mechanic. And I think Marcus is toast in my game. He called me up to go hunt a Feral, and as soon as I found him a giant blob came around the corner, quickly took him to the ground, and snapped his neck. I turned the game off in the hopes that it hadn't saved his death yet, but I doubt it.

Has anybody else noticed that the guard towers are being left vacant? I remember this was brought up a few pages ago. The answer then was something along the lines of 'look in your menu, you'll see somebody tasked with guarding'. My watchtower has somebody tasked to guard it, but they are never visibly there nor do they engage zombies that get close. This is almost as bad as the infestation bullshit (It's amusing how right after you clear an infestation, you'll get a -5 community morale due to too many infestations). Also, none of my people are sleeping. They just mill around the base all day and 6 or 7 are constantly 'tired'. Lotish posted:I need a survivor who has a green thumb, a doctor, and a proper mechanic. Just had the best bug. I log on and Cash calls me up because he wants to merge our group of survivors. Shortly after the call ends I get a message saying "Cash has died." I decide to run over and help out the rest of his buddies anyway because that's what good neighbors do. I do this and I see at the bottom of my screen this subtitle: "Cash: Hey thanks. I don't think we can survive much longer on our own. Mind if we join up?" Sure enough Cash has returned to the living like some zombie apocalypse Jesus. Totally gonna make him my main survivor now. Edit: Hahahaha holy poo poo. I just had three zombies moon walk at me while I help these idiots evacuate. Edit2: You: "Grab it!" *Cash casually closes the door.* Trying to get these guys evacuated has given me the best 3 minutes of gameplay I've ever had. If you can fail them, they're optional. Seriously, if they're stressing you out... just let them go. Unless it's friend in trouble, and maybe a special zombie hunt, the worst thing that's going to happen is someone will lose a little trust with you, and that can be solved by running over a horde (if they're in your crew) or running over a horde near their base (if they're not). Side quests are really not that important. Also, you have to activate the snipe zombies option to keep people in the guard tower at all times, otherwise they just do it if they feel like it man. Seriously, it's a guard tower option and costs you 2 ammo. If you aren't hitting it on cooldown then aren't guaranteed to have someone in the tower. Not sure if it's a bug or not, but that's what I've noticed. Knightmare posted:Crap, probably not! I was assuming the parking lot perk applied to the whole church parking lot. To fix actual damage to a car you need to have the upgraded workshop and and a tools specialist as well, something I'm yet to see. Otherwise all you repair is body damage. You can get tires/bumpers repaired with either upgrade to the workshop, though, so if you want to roll firebombs just stick with the big rear end trucks and switch them regularly. Think I might take a break until the patch hits as it hard to play whenever every five minutes I get the "inflection everywhere" and someone usually Marcus or Maya disappears. That and it's getting annoying trying to get supplies when "horde is heading to your house NOW" or "someone wants to kill this special infected, help them or they DIE".

So, apparently two of the guys in my base (Damian, an Autocratic ex-Cop who is a massive overbearing rear end in a top hat, and Victor, a Flirtatious Fitness Guru and classically-trained professional Dancer with skill in Sexting) are sleeping together, and they just got into a huge lovers' argument, and it's bringing everyone at the base down, resulting in a Morale penalty. One thing I think is pretty cool is how a lot of times you can tell what you're going to scavenge by what you're looking in. Like how you're not going to find ammo or building materials in a fridge. There are some exceptions but it does make looking for specific items a little easier.

No, but I've never actually had anyone die by me not showing up. All I've ever seen is Happiness lowered by 5, so maybe the just come home if you never show? Then again, maybe I've just gotten lucky.

So I didn't notice this before but all the types of weapons have different aim assist for getting headshots on zombies. Assault rifles and shotguns won't snap at all, while revolvers and rifle have a very small snap zone however they can snap from med to long range, and pistols have a huge snap zone but it only snaps at short range.

Scavenging in the city of Marshall is played out - I've surveyed every building, and taken every stockpile of materials and ammo and most of the fuel. I literally can't take any of the food or medicine, because I have no more room for either. As such, I went ahead and abandoned the city and moved to the abandoned army camp at the fairgrounds. Hilariously, my situation is reversed from the problems at Snyder Trucking - because I'm in a military installation, I'm loving swimming in ammo and guns, but now I'm critically short of building materials with which to set up my new base properly.

I have 4 outposts set in areas with construction materials but I only ever seem to bring in fuel and food. I'm glad it's not a walk in the park but lumber is so essential and I'm thinking it may be easier to just strip the outposts of whatever's in there and just leave them as bare safe zones.

I did some testing with the rally hatchback and reversing into hordes instead of plowing into them head on greatly reduces the damage to the vehicle. I was able to go through a single horde head on before white smoke appeared, but I've destroyed at least three hordes with one I was reversing with and it hasn't even started smoking yet. And Maya has the best taunts. "Let's dance!" EDIT: The doc just got ripped in half by a big bastard. Doc was in the graveyard and the screamers with him attracted a horde. Marcus made it out alive, but Doc was killed. Welp. Anyone have info on how outposts contribute to resource gain? I've made note of my resource drains before and after opening a new outpost and have not seen gains a few times.
