I think we have actually, but it was a good long while ago, both legs and one torso or something like that.

I wonder if there's some deux ex machina coming up, because with all these normal 4:3 ratings after the absurd DC pilot ratings last campaign and A-team level of unlucky rolls, it sure feels like the Behemoth won't go down in time. What are the odds like actually?

I think my options are pretty drat clear at this point: move to 1322 and FIRE EVERYTHING at the Dragon, then give it a kick for good measure. I think it can't torso twist to threaten me, so I should be safe there. My only question is whether or not I should activate Berserk Mode in order to tear that thing to shreds, or whether to save it for when I engage the Behemoth. What are your thoughts, thread?

They're about the same, they come when my players get orders in (but it is nice to write a fun scenario that doesn't tie into anything super important). Not to say this scenario won't have consequences (hooo boy will it have consequences), but they're at least obvious consequences!

My orders are in, since PTN made them pretty obvious this turn. Ghost Dragon giving me a straight line to its backside? Don't mind if I do, with a kick for good measure!

Gonna be keeping Berserk Mode in reserve for when I go against the Behemoth, though.

“We’ve got this, Vasquez!” Andrew said as his Awesome limped with a confident swagger through Summer’s bizarre “grass” covered trees. He shouldered one aside and was lost in a flurry of falling flakes, only to emerge moments later with the barrels of his PPCs pointed at the massive and distant Behemoth. “A TA field can’t stand up to PPCs, the General proved it! All we need to do—”

His PPCs discharged in a flash of static electricity as power from their drained capacitors trailed after the charged particles the weapons had so recently accelerated to near the speed of light. Thunder roared as an arc of green lightning deflected Andrew’s PPCs--or would, once the effects wizards went over the holo—and Andrew’s confident speech died with a sputtering choke.

“—is believe?” Vasquez replied in mocking tones.

“Look out, Andrew!” Hogarth’s strong voice filled the comms, the General’s autocannons roared as they walked tracers up the Behemoth’s sloping chest. Most glanced from the `Mech’s protective barrier, but a few of the high-velocity slugs seemed to slip past the arcs of neon-green death to strike sparks against the distant metal monster. The Behemoth was unperturbed, the tubes of its massive cannons leveled themselves in Andrew’s direction to unleash a fusillade from which there could be no recovery!

“You fools!” The Red Corsair howled, her Battlemaster springing to life once more. “You could have made your mistake while the ghost was focusing on me!”

The Battlemaster twisted, its great wedge-shaped foot catching a pile of slightly-soggy cardboard boxes. With a scream that was a mix of defiance and frustration the Red Corsair launched the pile into the air. Boxes exploded in a succession of powerful explosions as her makeshift chaff intercepted the Behemoth’s salvo.

“There’s no way in hell we’re abandoning you, lady,” Hogarth countered irreverently. “You may be the leader of Skye, but the blood of House Steiner still flows through your veins! I knew there’s no way you’d let a real Lyran come to harm! Now, get clear and let us handle this! I promise you, we’ll buy Skye’s freedom—Skye’s real freedom—with our lives!”

Yeah, that was kind of my point. Except instead of "Gorman", I said "Hogarth" because Hogarth is the name of one of the characters in this mission, whereas Gorman is not. So by inserting a name from the mission into the line given by the character who is in the mission, I was hoping to evoke memories of the famous scene from the movie where so-named character (the one who is named in this mission, and not the one who is not named) shows up and calls her commanding officer and rear end in a top hat.

No, I know who Vasquez is a reference to.

However, PTN did reserve the right to make references to multiple things. One of these things was Evangelion, what with the AT Field and Vasquez muttering "I mustn't run away", along with Berserk Mode. Felt that it would be appropriate to make a reference to that when I activate the ability...
