I'm "meh" on it, but honestly I feel like every sneak peek track release I've heard for a while now has had no effect on me even though I end up liking the album.

(Exception is that the Touche Amore sample from their new album makes me so loving pumped.)

New Boysetsfire leaked and is fuckin' rad. It'll hold me over until my preorder comes.

After the Eulogy came out 13 years ago :stare: that makes me feel so old, it's my favorite album.

edit-- Also, I'm looking for some recommendations of stuff that sounds like Document #8-era Pg.99. That's another one of my favorite albums, and I regret that I never branched out into much other screamo stuff back then.

Jimmy Eat World have been streaming their new album for a couple days now. It's every bit as wonderful as I was hoping, and easily their best since Futures. It's a bit mellow at times, but it works.

Anyone here listen to Adventures? They're an emo band with three members of Code Orange Kids, though you'd never notice that they're practically the same band. I'm listening to an advanced copy of their new EP and it's great, as was their debut EP.

Got to push out some South African hardcore, rad guys who have managed to put out the best hardcore the country has seen. A nice change from the usual post-hardcore that is done here. They started out doing some very crossover type stuff, but have since adapted some more sludge elements into some of the tracks.

It's ridiculously solid three chord pop-punk. Their live show is amazing too. When I saw them they had a friend with them dressed like a cop in bike shorts who jumped off the stage during like the third song and started a giant pushpit while Yellow sang I Don't Want to Lose Your Love. They were playing with Teenage Bottlerocket and The Queers, two of my favorite bands to see, and easily blew them both away.

I really, really, really want to go to The World is a Beautiful Place.../Pity Sex/Dads show tomorrow in Tampa but I swore I wouldn't go to any shows other than Pre-Fest this year to save money. This is really testing me though. :( American Radass was basically my favorite CD of last year, the new TWIABP&IANLATD album is so good, and all of the new Pity Sex songs I've heard so far are awesome. This is a problem.

Dads and The World is are both fantastic live. I've seen TWIABP 10 times now and I'll still drive 2 hours to go see them when I can (REALLY hope to get out to the record release show). I don't know your situation and I know I've been in places in my life where I couldn't drop $8-10 for a show, but their shows usually are just that, $8-10.

Of course, they'll both (I think, not sure about Dads) be at Fest this year, but I'm sure they'll play longer on the non-Fest show. Go see them and let me know how awesome poo poo Twins and Getting Sodas are live.

Off the top of my head I can only think of Punch and Code Orange Kids as far as vocals. Most Precious Blood had a female guitarist. Same with Kylesa, but they're more metal I guess.

Those are the ones I can find/remember.

Vowel has a violin, and they are pretty bitchin. I also just googled and stumbled upon http://crustwithstrings.blogspot.com/ there's probably some interesting stuff there if you want to dig through some bands.
