I know as a kid I used to be annoyed having to stop playing to transform some of the more complex G1 figures like Jetfire, and those guys are nothing compared to a modern figure. For kids simple figures are good, and Hasbro doesn't seem to have any interest in doing that on the Generations side. Those new Generations deluxes and voyagers are gorgeous. Sold.

My theory is they'll be a labeled subline to try and get smaller kids to enjoy the toys. I mean they are still putting out regular deluxes (look at Prowl), and the Generations line is the same. Who cares really, I just won't buy the upscaled legends and leave it at that. I do want Prowl and the new Predaking, even though it looks like the dragon head just hangs back there in his rear end. That sword looks killer. Oh and hey, Generations is gonna be amazing. Of course, the upscaled legends is likely the only thing that will ever come to local stores. We're kinda special like that

Huh. After looking through all the pictures, most of that stuff looks like total crap. Like, knockoff-quality. Rhinox and Waspinator look great, though. No, the combining aspect has been removed, apparently. You're looking at filler to kill time in Q1 and Q2 2014 until the movie toys hit. I guess now we know why they laid off all their designers. So I'm a long term Transformer and comic fan,my first weekly comic was the Transformers UK comic which I bought with my pocket money every week. I stopped buying Transformer toys back in the 90s. I've followed the many relaunches of Transformer comics with interest and often bought them. I've celebrated the return of Simon Furman. However without a doubt my favourite Transformers series is MTMTE, it's genuinely brilliant and IMHO the best comic out there at the moment. In fact I'm such a fan I'm going to start buying the new toys that use the MTMTE character designs. I've spotted the upcoming Swerve and Skids so far in this thread, could anyone do me a solid and tell me if there are any other MTMTE designs upcoming or already out? I am desperately aware of the fact that a transformer comic is once more selling me toys.

Think I finally got a friend to start reading MTMTE. Got him onto Transformers a few years ago after showing him the Movie and Prime (it was still in season 1 at the time.) But up till now he always kinda blew me off when I brought up the comics. Was talking about them yesterday as he was getting them, and I mentioned how much better Rodimus is in MTMTE than in the Movie, and he didn't even know who Rodimus was, despite me having shown him the movie. Then again, he hated Animated and thinks Prime is the best thing ever, so who knows.

Hah, I finally got springer and got annoyed at him not having a place to store his sword in robot mode, turns out that if you jiggle the backplate around a bit you can get it to double as a sheath for his sword. Also, Springer owns bones.
