Hatred thinking that Dean is going through some sort of self-hurting phase is going to be a running gag, isn't it? First the cutting, now the anorexia, what will be next? A bit disappointed by Dean in that episode. Aside from showing that he's really having some deep mommy issues, he was more of a prop to be rescued by Gary and Hank. The one guy who bullshits about everything he does but he likes to kick it. I used to think he was annoying but well considering how much he interacts with Hank it's been pretty good. The fact that he's sort of the older brother of the group is pretty funny. I actually like Dean the way he is. Going against his father. I mean Rusty is an rear end in a top hat. Hell we saw in season 4 he was trying to make Dean a super scientist, just like his dad. We clearly see Dean didn't want to do that at all. Besides there is still some cracks of Dean being optimistic. Especially what he told Hank. Overall I really enjoyed the episode. Glad to see Dr. O made an appearance. Never thought I would see Mommy again. I do give kudos to Rusty for at least coming clean that isn't their mom. Minus kudos for telling them he needed his daycare as well. The Cuckoo homage had me laughing really hard, much more so because it's the same exact guy who was interviewed by the Revenge Society. I guess tip toeing all the drat time made him a nutso.

Also, I really adore the fact that this whole episode basically stems from the B-plot thread of the episode where Henchman Zero kidnaps everyone. That was the best loving episode. Hell, I think they were newborn then. Oversight? I was oddly touched by Rusty and his boys (including Dermot) hanging out at the breakfast table together, shooting the poo poo. Also I'm so glad Helper is back to normal, I love hearing him chatter  Great episode.

I think on some level she's aware that she didn't physically, actually give birth to them, but that doesn't matter because she should have, in a perfect and just world, etc. The fact that they were never in her womb in the first place is an error she thinks she can correct through sheer willpower. So the question is was her insanity apparent before that and someone at OSI hates Rusty (okay, everyone at OSI probably hates Rusty)? She was probably already messed up to begin with and Rusty took advantage of it. Myra's flashbacks show Rusty as meek and vulnerable but Rusty was already shown to be a jerk in college. My favorite jokes have to be the Dunwich Asylum and Hatred talking about pro-ana.

What I imagine is that she is the equivalent of a White Knight. Rusty's all shaken by the death of his father, has no freaking clue how to run Venture Industries, and his vulnerability is on display. She feels compelled to protect him. And the fact that it actually is her job to protect him just strengthens her emotional connection to Rusty. She gets really clingy and overprotective. The rapidly blurring line between her job and her personal life gets her all twisted up inside, which would only be made worse when Rusty apparently started sleeping around and shows up one day with two babies. Faced with either accepting a terrible truth (that the person she's bodyguarding isn't the fragile snowflake she needs him to be) or an absurd lie (that she is, somehow, the mother of these babies, despite never giving birth), it seems like she completely cracked and believed the latter.

It's just a continuation of the Zeus plotline from last season, where they used a Teddy Ruxpin as the voice for one of Rusty's kidnappers. Teddy is just Hank and Dermott's cover for when they go out late and play as Shallow Gravy. I doubt that Myra was chemically or scientifically manipulated in any way, Rusty probably just emotionally manipulated her and she may have started with a few screws loose anyway.
