Craigslist pages get removed often/quickly so a post that just has a link often ends up being worthless anywhere from a day to a week after being posted.

I don't think there's a rule but please be nice and attach a picture for anyone that comes in late or who wants to go back a couple pages. :shobon:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/3925601492.html

It looks quite nice from the pictures. I spoke to the guy on the phone and asked about the usual issues. Surprise surprise, there's "some rust" underneath. I asked if it was just surface or if there were holes, he thought there might be both. Honesty is good, although I'd sure love some pictures before deciding to drive over or not.

Window seals should be replaced, some of the chrome bits around the windows were painted after losing their shiny.

So yeah, it looks quite nice inside and out, but the rust underneath (which I have not yet seen) is a definite point against, and I'd really prefer a manual to an automatic. I'm debating if I want to go see it or not.

That's kind of what I thought. It's just so loving nice. He's got a guy coming to look at it tonight, so I think I'll try to go see it tomorrow after work. It oozes style and I think I can handle an automatic transmission for something that cool.

The only question here is what's a driveline strut?

quote:

The MX5 is a complete nut and bolt restoration with everything on the car being either rebuilt or replaced with new from the dealer . The car is better than new with a custom stitched interior and chrome roll bar . Almost every aluminium piece under the hood has been polished as well as the driveline strut . The car is a real looker . The driveline has 2000 km on it . $20,000 was spent on the resto . Email me a reasonable offer .

1990 Mazda Miata Exceptional Condition All Original APPRAISED VALUE- $16,800.00

The car must be seen .Never seen a winter or rain . Hard top and soft top , working A/C , standard 5 speed with a limited slip differential and is original classic red .

We know what you been up to and my advice on that little venture is to pack it in. It won't work. It will all end in tears.

After 73 they got really ugly rear ends IMO, but that yellow is pretty sweet. Does it list engine size? i had a 73 swinger with factory 318. Yes, It was common to play Clutch while driving that one.

The lack of 5ph bumper stops means someone at least gave that car a half-resto. Unfortunately it appears that car was a vinyl top model, and hasnt had the trim properly deleted. Oh well, im not buying darts these days anyway.

Its about 2 years newer for my tastes, otherwise that is one hell of a find. Even the price is right too.

I imagine it has a pretty asthmatic slant 6. But a well built 318 would make a pretty fun cruiser. I mean, the slant 6 can be built up, but god drat finding parts to do it makes it pretty cost inefficient. Personally, I would throw a black vinyl top on it and repaint it in red.

Edit: Just did some googling, looks like the slant 6 community has grown since I last fiddled with MOPAR's and the parts are much cheaper. A new intake, set of headers, and a cam can all be done for around 1000 or less.

Heck even digging further, they make fuel injection for these beasts.
